Meet our favorite "water puppy," measuring about 8 inches long!

Oscar fish are a member of the South American cichlid family and are known as "water puppies" because of their loud personalities!

They are intelligent enough to recognize you as their owner, will come up to the front of the tank to greet you, and can be trained to eat out of your hand. Also, they can get moody and sulk at the bottom of the aquarium because you altered their environment by doing a water change or moving the decorations.

They require a lot of space and can live 10-20 years in a healthy environment! If you're willing to make the commitment, an Oscar fish can be a joy and companion for many years to come! If you're interested in adding one to your collection, reach out to us! In addition to the tiger Oscar pictured, we also have a few albino oscars measuring about 6 inches in length.
