Make Time, not Excuses to participate in this incredible opportunity to learn valuable and actionable information about advocacy and the Farm Bill. 💛👩🏽🌾💛
𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴!
Participants from all levels of the food system (farmers, eaters, advocates, etc.) are invited join this training to develop their advocacy skills, particularly those who currently feel unsure how to take action for farm policy change at the federal level.
The training will take place on Wednesday, September 13 from 7-8:30pm ET. Register and receive the Zoom link here: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZEkf-ugpz0jHNZmmjfuixaGMokbjoKUTZy3 #/registration
What to expect: The first half of the training will provide context around the current status of the Farm Bill and an introduction to some of the most effective tools for grassroots action. In the second half, participants will be guided through the process of finding their representatives, selecting an ask that feels relevant to them, and drafting their own personalized climate story to send to their representative.
We are excited to offer this training in advance of the Farmers for Climate Action Week beginning on September 17 and culminating at the Farm Aid music festival on September 23. The week will feature a coordinated effort to demand that the 2023 Farm Bill prioritize racial justice, farmer-led climate solutions, and communities over corporations. We will share a toolkit for engaging in the week of action next week.
