🤩Hooley Horse Camp: Session 4 Day 2🤩
Our word of the day was Integrity — Do what’s right, when no one's watching!
During our all-group closing session, campers shared many wonderful examples of how they and their friends demonstrated integrity and perseverance throughout the day.
Today was also Cheer Day! Each group — the Appaloosas, Thoroughbreds, Friesians, Mustangs, and Haflingers — created their own team cheers to celebrate their spirit. They did an outstanding job!
We also had the pleasure of meeting more of the Hooley herd today. Campers got to interact with the miniature donkeys, Blessing and Genevieve, along with their adorable baby foals, Jubilee and Jolene! One camper exclaimed, “I can hardly stand all this cuteness!”
Additionally, we introduced Rita and Sue, our newest momma and her foal. Rita, one of our ponies, gave birth last week during camp, and her filly has been named after one of our favorite camp leaders, Sue Griggs!
Fun Fact:
A female donkey is called a Jenny and a male is a Jack. A female baby horse is a filly, and a male baby horse is a c**t.
Today, the campers learned how to saddle and properly mount a horse, followed by taking a ride. In our Science Lab, they participated in a taste test to see which foods our animals would eat, took part in “Integrity Ball” in Character Lab, and continued working on their line dance and decorating a horseshoe in Horse Arts Class.
We can’t wait for Day 3!
