Furry Angels Dachshund Rescue We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 Dachshund rescue group incorporated with the State of Rhode Island. Our rescue received our 501c3 from the IRS on August 14 2014.

Furry Angels Dachshund Rescue officially became incorporated on 2/25/2014. We were granted an effective date of exemption, February 25, 2014.

Just another quick update because I wanted to share these pictures. :). Blue has settled in nicely and he let Beth pick him up and snuggle him. He has a “nest” of blankets and the cushion in the picture next to her and they are currently watching UConn basketball together. Haha He also has been requesting belly rubs.

He has shown zero signs of aggression. He’s super sweet. Did well in the crate. He just needs a little time to trust and then he’s a sweet puddle. I can’t wait for you to meet him. ❤️

To all of you who loved and supported Niles over the years, we have some very difficult news to share. We lost Niles on January 31st, his memory will live on in our hearts. This has been a very difficult and challenging time in our lives for us and Timmy who was bonded with him. 😢💔

Look who arrived today, and still has lots of pep in her step. Frankie says 15 is the new 10! I’m living proof age is just a number.  Frankie is an owner surrender that needed our help. She has a few things that need to be addressed. She will be seeing our doctor first thing tomorrow. Will be back with an update as soon as we have one. Thank you. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Update on Fergie/Honey she is slowly but surely opening up!! She is got a long long way to go but this is a great thing to see! She seems to relate to the Dogs more than humans! We are hopeful that she will come around in the right place with the right people. She will be going in for a spay at the beginning of the month!

We just want to share another video of Fergie/aka Honey! We see a perfect little that wants to be loved and is enjoying human touch. She is getting there! It’s been 3.5 weeks working with her, there were times we thought she wasn’t going to be adoptable. She will be! ❤️🙏🏻❤️

Fergie making huge strides! She has been a tough challenge but we have so much faith in her. She is still very jumpy and afraid to come out of her bed. Today we opened her pen so she has more room. She doesn’t always like having to much space as she feels more secure with less. She is pretty proud of herself coming out to grab that treat. She even came out for the other. We are able to pet her all the way down her back and hoping to get a harness on maybe today, so we can go outside. It’s been slow but we are letting her get comfortable with all new surroundings. She still hasn’t shown any aggression just so frightened of everything. 🙏🏻 We continue to keep helping her build her confidence. Since we don’t think she knows her name we have been calling her Honey. Oh and we are not sure if she is pregnant and that may have something to do with her behavior. Praying she is not! 🙏🏻
