The probiotics and meds are working so well - Sam is back to normal and gaining weight again like a champ! Morning snuggles as it’s a bit chilly this morning here in AZ.

The smile of a kitten who gets to frolic and play….while his brother Sam has to have butt baths because he’s got horrible 💦 💩 😭.

We have stocked back up on probiotics and picked up meds from the humane society so hopefully Sam will be back to normal soon!

Frodo’s weight goes up and down a bit - he’s hit 400 grams now (just under 0.9 lbs) which is good!

These cuties are doing so well, we were able to move their spay/neuter surgeries up to this upcoming Wed…AND Rosemary has an adopter already lined up! (A coworker of mine from California is going to drive all the way out here to adopt her!) 🥰

Welcome our 3 new fosters! They have been on the list the longest, waiting for a foster, so we gladly scooped them up last night! I can’t tell you how excited they have been to be able to race around the room, being the silly little kiddos they should be!

They were found as strays outside, nursing on a mother…but they’re not siblings (I can definitely tell Thyme looks younger) - they think the mama cat maybe have just “adopted” them in their time of need, and let them nurse from her. 🥲

Right now they are either sprinting at full speed, or sleeping in a side table drawer (🤷🏽‍♀️😂) so this is the best pic for now. Rosemary has the coolest markings I’ve ever seen! I can’t wait to get a good picture of her walking so you can see her sides!

Over the weekend, we went to visit Sadie, after finding out that she hadn’t been adopted yet. Every single cat room and kennel was packed. They had just had a huge adoption event not long ago that cleared out a lot of the rooms, and they are back to over capacity. So we made the decision to adopt Sadie and bring her back home.

My husband is over there right now, picking up 3 sick kittens who need a foster home to de-stress in and get healthy. He texted me a picture of this flyer.

They do amazing work over there and I can’t imagine how tired they are.

Sadie completed her follow up appointment today, and is headed to the adoption center! She won’t stay there long - she’s a wonderful, rambunctious cat who loves cats, dogs, and kids! She’ll fit in anywhere! She will be at the Arizona Humane Society Papago Park location at 5501 E Van Buren St, Phoenix 85008.

Our foster fail from a few years ago, LilP, and her mini me Sadie! Both of them had horrible eye problems in their right eye, and have such similar markings. We were able to save LilP’s; even though Sadie lost hers, it’s not slowing her down one bit!

Sadie’s doing well! She’s hanging out with me in the office, watching the doves at the bird feeder.

Her face is still messy and crusty - I just don’t want to try and clean her up until her check up next week, for fear of bothering her eye stitches….but still absolutely adorable, even with a messy face, don’t you think? 🥰

It’s been a long 24 hours, but as Kittenville reminded me, kittens are resilient! Sadie kept clawing her way out of the cone she came home in during the night - she was not happy but it has to stay on so she doesn’t mess with her eye or belly stitches.

I ordered this softer cone (yay Amazon next day delivery!) and sewed a sock to it so she can’t claw it off. It also can be bent back so making eating easier for her without having to take the whole thing off.

It has been a difficult two days, personally and fostering. We had to help one of our pets Archie cross the rainbow bridge (first experience ever with that 💔), and then today, our sweet foster Sadie had her spay and enucleation surgery to remove her damaged eye.

She’s back home to recuperate, but we have her contained in a crate (Archie’s old crate), since she is so wobbly and out of it still.

Ironically, our dog Bella and her have become good friends, so Bella will visit through the cage for now until Sadie feels better.

We’re in a disappointing pattern of yo-yo weight. She gains during the night, and loses during the day. She’s still happy and playful, but we need her to get chonky for her surgery! You can do it, Sadie girl! 🩷🩷🩷

I love seeing Nayla playing - she’s a wonderful mama, but she’s a such a young cat that deserves to just have fun. She’ll never have to live on the streets again, fighting for what she needs, and she’ll never have to go through pregnancy again! She’ll be spayed and get to live out her best life in the lucky household that adopts her.
