Meet the staff, and their favorite dogs at FCHS.
Each staff member has sponsored the adoption of their favorite dog. This means, there are no adoption fees for these 9 dogs with an approved application.
Stop by and meet the favorites. We're sure we can find your favorite too! 🐾
Actual reenactment of how long it's taking Gus' forever family to find him. 😄
When you just can't contain your weekend wiggles! 🐾
We hope you enjoyed Labor Day as much as Forest did.

Somebody's puppy is still waiting at the shelter! Buck is the last of his litter.
He looks sad, but dont worry, he's been getting all of the attention and may now be a bit spoiled 😉
Come meet him, we open at noon!
Blaze has mastered the cute-kitten-squeal and what a great way to get your attention🐾
Kitten season is upon us and our nursery sounds like a feline symphony! Now is as great a time than any to find out about fostering kittens with FCHS. We have many litters that are just a few short weeks away from becoming adoptable. Some only needing a week or two in a foster home.
Call 502-875-7297 to schedule a pick up or learn more about how easy fostering kittens can be!

Who couldn't love a giant galoot such as Sam?!? Sam is a TOTAL Rockstar. Although he can't live with cats, he's a great buddy to most of the dogs. Big as he is, he's as gentle as they come.
Happy national Pretzel Day!! Hope you had the opportunity to celebrate accordingly, we sure did!
UPDATE ADOPTED!
How many of you remember this sweet old guy, Phillip? Phil came to us last year after a very sad life. We won't go into details of his life, but he deserved better than what was given to him.
Phillip was adopted last summer, but unfortunately it didn't work out. We're sad Phillip is back, but we're so happy to get to love him further. He enjoys the shelter, but it's just no place for such an old man.
Phillip is about 14 years old, doesn't hear much anymore and doesn't see well either. He's a big boy at 70+ pounds which makes it hard on his old bones getting up and down from our hard floors. We've got his "suite" comfy and padded but we know a home is better for him.
Phil has one problem, other than the typical old man issues, and it's that he poops in the house. We're not really sure why. He pees outside faithfully, but seems to only poop inside. We know that makes him a hard sale, but maybe someone out there with hardwood floors wouldn't mind cleaning up after him for the short time he has left?
Please consider Phil. Even if you can't adopt, he sure does love company.
