We are stumped! Star is an amazing pup but has no interest. She is sweet, smart, adorable, snuggly, and at the perfect age to begin bonding and training with her forever family. We just need to find that family! Star is patiently awaiting applications to come in so she can move on to some lucky family. Please share Star and help find her a home.

We told her not to give up home and that we will keep working until she gets the life she deserves. Star says it is exhausting!!!

We busted Star out of the Southampton County Animal Shelter. She is now vetted and ready for adoption! Star is a sweet 6 month old mix breed that did not have the best start in life. She landed in a rural shelter and had no idea who to trust. Luckily, the right person saw her at the right time and decided to pull her from the shelter and let this little girl decompress and learn about the luxuries of indoor living while she awaits her forever home. Star is spayed, vaccinated, on heartworm preventative, microchipped, and on flea/tick prevention. UPDATE: ADOPTED

Little Man is a 7 year old miniature pinscher. He is a loyal companion and bonds quickly with "his" people. Little Man is in need of a new home because his mom is getting older and experiencing health issues that prevent her from giving Little Man the attention he needs. Little Man is an active boy and would love a family that wants a pup that can play hard and snuggle harder! He loves children and does not mind cats. He is a bit stand offish with other dogs but we think he will do fine with a proper meet and greet. He is very protective of his home and is a typical "barky" min pin but those who love the breed love their quirks! Little Man is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

What is better than one kitten? Well, two kittens silly!!! Kit Kat and Shiloh are a bonded pair and would love to be adopted together! If they cannot go together then we are requiring a young playful kitten be in the adoptive home. Adoption fee is $50 but you can get both for $75 if they get to be ying and yang forever!

Both kittens are around 9 weeks of age are are fully vetted.

UPDATE: ADOPTED

We are going to try one more time to find this boy's home. This sweet male hound was found near Newsoms Hunt Club but he is not a hunting dog. He has been reported to animal control. This dog, whom we are calling Max, loves being in the house and has perfect manners. He is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, gets along with other dogs, cats, kids, and adults. He really is perfect so someone must be missing him. He had no microchip and was wearing a harness with no tags. Our best guess is that he is around 2 years old. He has now been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventative. He is not at the shelter because there is no room and his finder is able to hold onto him until we can find rescue or an adoptive home for this boy. Please message us if you know his owner or want to adopt Max. We are asking that interested adopters fill out an online adoption application. His adoption fee is $100. He has now been fully vetted and will come with a leash and collar. Here is the link:

UPDATE: ADOPTED

Kit Kat is an 8 week old American Curl mix (current weight is 2.6 pounds). He is the most loving kitten we have ever seen in foster care (evidently it is a personality trait of the American Curl). Kit Kat was found up a tree trying to escape a German Shorthaired Pointer that decided Kit Kat was fun to chase. His finder got him to safety and now Kit Kat is looking for his forever home. Kit Kat loves other cats and children but is a bit skeptical of dogs. He is neutered, had his first kitten vaccine, felv/fiv negative, and microchipped.

UPDATE: ASHTON HAS BEEN ADOPTED AND HIS NEW NAME IS WICK. HE IS LIVING HIS BEST LIFE!!! PICTURES IN THE COMMENTS.

This absolutely handsome little husky mix boy is Ashton and he came in as an owner surrender on 5/22/2024. His family had his mother (purebred husky) and father is unknown. He was the product of an accidental litter so he and his mother were surrendered. Ashton is going to be a big boy as he currently weighs 36 pounds at 5 months of age! He is people and kid friendly and seems to do fine with other dogs. This boy is very social and will make a wonderful family companion!!! He is an EXTREMELY sweet boy. We highly recommend a trainer for puppies so training can start early!

Rosie is an approximately 3 year old beagle mix. She is super sweet and loves to snuggle on the couch. She was found as a stray and never reclaimed so she is looking forward to her restart! Rosie is doing well with her house training and does well in a crate. She walks well on a leash but would do best in a home with a fenced yard. Rosie gets along well with other dogs and children. She has not been tested with cats. Rosie is spayed, utd on rabies, heartworm negative & on preventative, and microchipped.

Our hospice foster Grant has passed. RIP sweet boy. Abandoned in Southampton County (most likely aged out of hunting) and got so much love in his last few years in foster care. He was one of the lucky ones.

Meet Marshmallow! She is about 5 to 6 weeks old and was found in the rafters of a garage. There was a feral cat that took off and left Marshmallow all alone. A good Samaritan took her in and called us right away. Marshmallow is now safe and will begin her journey to get healthy and ready for a forever home. She will be ready for adoption in a few weeks and applications can be found on our website.

Penny was adopted in 2017 and was a typical throw away hound in Southampton County. She was given a second chance at life when she was adopted by a wonderful family that showered her with love. Sadly, Penny passed away this week but we are grateful to her family for giving her the best years of her life. Run Free Penny!!! A donation has been made to PACC in her memory to help other hounds in need.

We are pleased to announce that Archie has found his forever home. He now has a big brother named Winston to help show him the ropes. Archie went from the streets of Southampton County to being a beach dog :) Happy Restart Archie!!!!
