We also have a litter of Rex in the nest box. ☺️ Rex are a large breed, 9-12 lbs and are separated from other rabbit breeds by their fur texture.

Rex fur has guard hairs that are the same length as the undercoat, this makes for a plush velvet like texture to their coat. It also makes for very dense color since the guard hairs are so short.

This litter should be a color pattern called “otter” and will be all chocolates and lilacs if my genetics are correct and I’m right on dads color. 😁

Update on the last Holland lop litter.. Spice fostered an extra from a first time mama that wasn’t doing a great job. So there are 6 now instead of five 😁.

I’m not yet sure if genders, but hopefully will know in about a week. They are 13 days old and eyes are starting to open.
