Wags For Hope Visits Thurmont Middle School!

The snow didn’t stop us from spreading smiles today! Our incredible teams—Lucy, Regan, and Raymond—visited Thurmont Middle School, and it was a fantastic day.

Lucy soaked up all the love with her belly rubs, Raymond wowed everyone with his cool tricks, and Regan charmed her way into a crowd of new friends.

We’re so grateful to Thurmont Middle School for having us and for fostering such a warm, welcoming environment. Building strong partnerships with Frederick County Public Schools is key to ensuring we can continue to bring the joy, comfort, and support of our therapy animals to students.

We can’t wait to visit again soon and create more unforgettable moments. Thank you, TMS, for letting us be a part of your day! 🐾

🐾 Wags For Hope Visit 🐾

Team River had an amazing time visiting Daybreak Adult Day Services on Thursday, January 16th, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM! 🐕❤️ River was all smiles as he watched everyone play Bingo and loved being part of the "pet me" process. There's nothing like seeing those happy faces light up while spending time together.

River truly enjoys his visits and all the love and attention he gets from such a wonderful group of people. 🥰 Thank you, Daybreak, for having us—we can’t wait to visit again soon!

🎉🐾 Happy Belated Birthday, Regan! 🐾🎉

Yesterday, our sweet therapy dog Regan celebrated her 4th birthday! While visiting Parkway Elementary School, the students surprised her with a beautiful Happy Birthday poster. Thank you so much to the students for making Regan's day so special—she absolutely loved it!

Regan adores visiting with all of you and brightening your days. Your kindness and warm smiles made her birthday extra memorable. Here's to more wonderful visits and wagging tails ahead! 💕

Looking for a fun and furry way to boost your child’s reading confidence? Come out to Emmitsburg Public Library on January 9th from 6 PM to 7 PM for Wags For Hope’s Read to a Dog program!

Our teams are certified Reading Education Assistance Dogs (READ), specially trained to create a calm, supportive environment that encourages young readers to shine.

🌟 Team Woodie will be there, ready to lend a listening ear—and even offer pets and hugs!

Bring your favorite book or pick one at the library, and enjoy some quality reading time with our amazing therapy dog. It’s free, fun, and perfect for all ages!

📚🐾 Wags For Hope Update! 🐾📚

Tonight, our therapy dog Joey stole the show at Teen Night at the Point of Rocks Library! From 5:30 to 6:30 PM, Joey spent time with local teens, bringing his signature calm and comforting presence.

One heartwarming moment? Joey was so relaxed while being petted that he fell asleep as a teen completed her assignment! 🐶💤

These special moments are why we love what we do. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the evening so memorable!

🌈 Take a Look, It's in a Book...with Wags For Hope! 📚🐾

What an incredible time we had today at Middletown Library with our certified Reading Education Assistance Dogs (READ)! Our amazing therapy dog teams – CoCo, Raymond, Sparkle, and Mabel – loved listening to the young readers share their favorite stories.

Just like the Reading Rainbow says, "I can go anywhere, friends to know, and ways to grow," our READ teams create a safe and encouraging space for children to explore their imaginations and build confidence in their reading skills.

Thank you to Middletown Library for hosting us and to all the readers who made today so special. We're already looking forward to our next visit! 🐶📖

Wags For Hope is proud to have several dedicated Hospet Teams that regularly visit Frederick Health Hospital, bringing joy, comfort, and support to patients, staff, and visitors. One of these wonderful teams is Team Sparkle, known for their cheerful and uplifting presence.

These visits highlight the strong partnership between Wags For Hope and our local hospital, as our teams are passionate about making a positive impact in the community. Whether it’s offering a comforting paw to a patient or lifting the spirits of healthcare workers, Wags For Hope teams are committed to supporting Frederick Health Hospital with love and care.

🎄✨ On December 23rd, Sparkle the Hospet, a beloved Hospital Therapy Dog registered with Wags For Hope, brought joy and comfort to the Pediatric Unit at Frederick Health Hospital! Spreading holiday cheer, Sparkle lit up the day for young patients and their families. 🐾❤️

But the holiday magic doesn’t stop there—Sparkle will return on Christmas Day to bring smiles to patients and hardworking staff alike. 🎁🌟

Therapy dogs like Sparkle play a vital role in hospitals, offering emotional support, reducing stress, and creating moments of happiness during challenging times. Their presence can make a world of difference for patients of all ages and the dedicated staff caring for them.

🎄✨ Today, our amazing Wags For Hope Therapy Animal teams brought extra holiday cheer to the students, teachers, and staff at Catoctin High School during lunch! The joy and excitement were contagious as everyone got to meet our incredible teams.

Team Everlast stole the spotlight—after all, how often do you see an alpaca in school?! 🦙 Team Boogaloo, Woodie, Raymond, and Lucy also brought smiles and comfort to everyone they met, spreading joy in their own special ways.

Therapy animals have an incredible ability to lift spirits, reduce stress, and create meaningful connections. Whether it's a wagging tail, a gentle nuzzle, or just their calming presence, these animals remind us of the power of kindness and love.
