Update! Crooky has an adoption application in and the family is coming to meet her at the event tomorrow and hopefully take her home. So excited that this sweet girl might have her forever family tomorrow!

Crooky’s favorite thing to do is rub her whole body against you, especially if she is anywhere near your face. If you lay down near her, you will get a face full of fur.

She’s back! And she’s just as sweet and goofy as she ever was. Crooky came home and immediately showed us that she’s been in need of some affection. She rubbed all over my husband and me (hiding her from my son), and rolled around everywhere. She carried on her conversations, and then plopped on the couch to hang out. Crooky even found her old bed and reclaimed it. If you are interested in Crooky, let me know!

More of Crooky. Obviously I haven’t seen her since January, but here’s what I can tell you: she craves attention. She’s isn’t a cat who wants to come into the family and ignore you, but be part of the family. She was fostered with other adults during her two months here. They had periods of swatting while they figured out how to get along, and she did fine. I had them together and never worried. She has fun cattitude. She’s not a limp noodle, but a cat who lets you know her thoughts and feelings (they often revolve around treats). She is a compact little thing I called my Squishmellow because… well… you’ll see. She was trained to go get treats. She knew to jump on a folding table where her bed was. She’s just fun like that. She’s soft as soft can be. She looks like a cross off a Russian blue with th that gorgeous fur. She had a little girl in her last home. My son adores her. She’s had a lot of change. And she will probably need time to adjust.

Ugh, hard foster month!!! So I’ve fostered over 60 cats. This month I had my first cat returned with Quimby. Luckily, Quimby found an amazing home last week. I just found out that Crookshanks was brought back after 10 months! If you remember the story of Crookshanks, you remember that she was a prolonged adoption, while we awaited test results to see if she was healthy. Luckily, everything checked out and she was able to be adopted. Apparently they feel that she needs a friend and they don’t want to add another cat so they decided to return her. Crooky has such a special place in my heart. I bawled when we found out she was healthy. She plays fetch, she has Cattitude when you tell her that she has eaten her treats too quickly. She is fun. Crooky is easily in my top five of special cats. And now she’s looking for her forever home. Again. We actually thought we were done fostering. But I need to make sure that she is in a home where she is loved. She’s coming back to me tomorrow. Help her find her forever family.

Sadly, not all adoptive homes work out. Quimby is headed back to my house as we speak. She was adopted in late January and unfortunately the family’s resident cat decided that she did not want Quimby to stay. Quimby is the sweetest, most beautiful girl. Unfortunately, mom is needing some medical attention and is in medical foster. Her milk was basically non-existent, so the kittens were needing supplemental formula. We’re transitioning quickly to keep them nourished. Want to help? They can use baby food in meat flavors or wet food until they’re ready for dry!
