Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving! We here at The Retriever Barn are so thankful for each and everyone of our friends, family, and clients.

This week the dogs were busy as we had some fantastic shooters come out from all over!

Today we took out a few groups for the OCA Contractors hunt.

These two groups were a blast to guide for! Though the birds did not cooperate, that did not stopping these guys! Great shooting fellas!

We look forward to next year!

Sunday afternoon Cinder, Daisy and Hans got to take this happy group on a 15 bird hunt. This group was Father, daughter ( her boyfriend), brother and mother taking pictures. I took the family hunting for the first time when the young lady was 9 yrs old. She wasn't hunting at the time but wanted to carry birds, she carried 6 birds with a duck strap and now she's hunting. I really enjoy seeing young people we've taken for their first time and now we can take them as adults.

Gunner got to get some field work with Cinder to Sharpen his hunting skills. He's come a long ways doing a nice job pointing, backing and retrieving.

Some pictures from the annual group we took hunting for a day and a half. I've guiding for this group for several years. Between Teslas group and mine they had 72 birds put out and went back with 71. With the high winds we had yesterday and today that's good shooting.

We did a meet and greet with this pretty little girl named June this afternoon to see if she had a interest in birds. I think it's safe to say she's very interested.

Some pictures from the C**n Creek Hunt Club veterans hunt this morning. I enjoy doing these hunts. I like taking kids to get them hooked on hunting and the outdoors and veterans to give my appreciation for the service they gave us.

This handsome little guy is a Vizsla pup named Booker. He's our new student that we'll be training for upland hunting.

Archie got to put his training to practice this afternoon with Cinder getting out for his first time in the field hunting birds. He's definitely heading in the right direction.

We got to meet our newest student for training today. This very pretty pup is Louise a Pudlepointer. We will be training her for upland and waterfowl hunting. We worked with her and got her pointing on the wing.

Cinder was working with Carmen this afternoon taking her owners Emily and Steve for 6 birds. She's learning her lessons and did a great job today.
