I thought I would share my first attempt at relief carving. This is a picture of my friend Harry Burroughs and his Shorthair Abby. Harry's daughters Patti and Cindy asked if I could do this picture for him, I said I've never done one before but I'd be happy to give it a try so this is how it turned out.

Tucker got introduced to birds today for the first time. He was a little nervous at first but it did'nt take long and he was all about the birds. Tucker also got to go with Cinder to the sporting clays to see how he was about shooting since he hasn't been around it before. He couldn't have cared less about it.

I woud like to introduce the new recruit to the Retriever Barn hunting dogs. This big handsome boy is Tucker a 2 yr old German Wirehaired Pointer I adopted from West Virginia. We'll be working on him this summer to get him ready for next season to start his guiding career. I'm really looking forward to working with him. I really want to thank Jennifer & Brian the breeders who let me adopt him, Mike who drove from Delaware met the breeder in Maryland and then took him to Dayton where my son picked him up and brought him to his forever home, thank you all!!!

Here's some of the dogs were're working with. All of them are getting obedience training and Jordy, Hunt & Goose are getting work with behavior issues.

Deuce on a retrieve during his training hunt. When I started with him Tuesday he didn't want to retrieve a bird, now he's retrieving better and better.

Gunner got to get some more bird work with his big sister Cinder this morning. He's really coming along.

This big chocolate Lab is Deuce, he's with me for a week getting bird training. Him and Cinder are watching the birds getting set.

This morning Saban got some more work on birds along with Bear and Cinder. You can see the bird in front of Cinder and Saban looking for a way out.

This handsome dog is Oreo a Border Collie that I just started working with. He's getting obedience training and work on some behaviour issues he has.
