Anyone looking to adopt a dog or puppy from a non-breeder and is willing to travel to Fresno for the adoption, allow me to help you pre-view and even arrange to meet some great dogs! We foster nursing litters for the Central California SPCA and almost always have puppies here. The mother dogs also go up for adoption when pups are weaned. Great Thanksgiving day ended with a sick foster pup (reason unknown yet). Special care for her overnight with plenty of watered chicken bone broth by medicine dropper until we can see vet. Always keep some medicine syringes handy and keep sick pets hydrated!

Puppy play date! Silvana’s pups and some chihuahua friends all enjoy the sunshine together. Who needs some puppy therapy ?

Silvana and the 7-days-of-the-week pups are doing great! Soon Silvana will want to find a forever home. She stays close on and off leash, submits to other dogs, is highly food motivated, and sleeps all night in a crate without barking. She still needs housebreaking and other training, but very sweet girl!

Get ready for Friday November 17th. It is National Hiking day! We are welcoming our community take a shelter dog on a hike. We will have a selected group of dogs that would enjoy this time of outing. You will come to our shelter, 1510 W Dan Ronquillo Dr Fresno, starting at 9am to pick up a dog along with a Doggy Day Bag. You can return the dogs the same day or the next day. We encourage you post pictures of your hiking trip with We look forward to seeing you here Friday morning to take a dog on an adventure.

Food-aggression starts young! I didn’t do it in this video but I often move Lyle away from the food, exert my “alpha dog” dominance over him when he is being food aggressive, while still ensuring that Kyle gets his share.

These wonderful, trainable, smart and healthy males will make wonderful pets for people who are willing to train them, and they love other dogs and animals. They play rough but cuddle quickly too! Going back to CCSPCA early on 3/1, so claim yours or make arrangements to come see them before then!
