Some of you have been affected recently by scheduling issues and I want to apologize for that, and be transparent about what's going on. Some of you are also aware of the hell I'm going through in my personal life, and this has just been added to that.

If anyone wants to help in whatever way they know how, whether that's a recommendation or a contact, anything, please know how much it is appreciated at this incredibly difficult time.

The car I've been sharing with my mother (as I let my ex take the van in the divorce for a multitude of reasons,) quit on me Sunday, in the middle of the freeway on my way to work.

Today we got the news.

$6k to fix everything that's wrong. The car probably isn't even worth that. It's 25 years old.

My mom just sunk a bunch of money into it recently for the new reg, smog, tires etc. All money down the toliet.

I just...I feel sick.

I was casually looking at getting an older, used van because I need a reliable vehicle that isn't a gas guzzler. It's been difficult because I'm low income and I don't have good credit. I guess now I have no other choice but to find something ASAP.

I'm just numb.

I'll try to answer the questions that you may have about what's on this list!

🐾 While a tiny scrap of Ham likely won't cause any issues for most dogs, Ham/pork can be very fatty and is often indicated in pancreatitis, especially in dogs with sensitive systems.
🐾 Cooked mashed potatoes are okay, unless your dog is allergic to potato, or the mashed potatoes are full of butter, seasoning or flavoring. Best to avoid if this is the case.
🐾 While a small bit of canned Cranberry is unlikely to cause a problem, canned Cranberry sauce is full of sugar, so it is best to avoid.
🐾 Stuffing often contains things like Sage, Nutmeg, Onion or Garlic powder, and these are to be avoided for dogs.

🍗By far the most dangerous Thanksgiving risk is ingestion of cooked bones/a cooked Turkey carcass. DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOG ANY KIND OF COOKED BONE! Yes, that includes smoked bones. THE ONLY SAFE BONE IS A COMPLETELY RAW ONE! Raw Turkey necks are actually a favorite for chewing among many dogs and are often used on a regular basis to help clean teeth.

🍫BAKERS CHOCOLATE IS THE MOST DANGEROUS TYPE OF CHOCOLATE FOR A DOG! A small amount of milk chocolate is unlikely to make your dog sick, but dark chocolate and bakers chocolate are far more dangerous and don't require a large quantity to become toxic.

🍬WATCH YOUR GUM! If anyone attending your gatherings is chewing gum, make sure it is properly disposed of. Most sugar free gum contains Xylitol, which is toxic to dogs, even in small quantities. Ice Cubes, one of the most popular types of gum, has high concentrations of it. NEVER GIVE A DOG ANYTHING LABLED "SUGAR FREE!"
