This little one is still available and she is an absolute sweetheart! She is the snuggle-bug of the litter and has a playful and quirky personality. Green scored very well in her puppy evaluation and continues to impress us with her confidence in how she approaches new challenges.

She also has a little something special about her! There’s a little heart shaped mark on her right shoulder🖤 See if you can spot it in the video!

This rare mark, which looks like a black birthmark, is called a pigment somatic gene mutation. Golden retrievers are born with a base black coat, with a 'modifier gene' that turns them golden. Very rarely, when a puppy is an embryo the cells that determine coat color split differently leaving them with a pigmented section of their base coat. Pretty cool, huh?!

:||• Breakfast on the Patio •||:

It’s a beautiful sunshiny morning in Frisco, so naturally these pups booked a reservation for 12 for breakfast!
•
The puppies aren’t quite ready for full outside access (this will happen after they’ve received vaccines) so we brought out a small enclosure and served breakfast in a more controlled environment.
•
They loved chowing down while soaking up some warm sunshine ☀️

✨Pupdate✨

These pups are so stinkin smart and are doing excellent with eliminating in their designated area! We still get a few little puddles and poops that are a near miss of the trays, but the behavior analyst in me is thrilled with their approximations 🤓

Since they’re doing so well we trialed expanding their area today, and these pups were so excited! So many puppy zoomies that they all tuckered themselves out 💤

Sleep well sweet babies, when you wake you’ll be •FOUR WEEKS OLD•

•||• Intro to Crate Training •||•

These little love bugs now have a crate in their nursery!

We introduce the crate early with the door removed. The puppies naturally make their way to the crate to sleep because this is where the soft comfy bedding and heating pad are. And the crate is positively associated with snuggles and sleep 😴 🥰

When puppies go home we will give you information on how to keep up the crate training momentum, as both the AKC and humane society recommend crating. It is the safest place for them to be both when they sleep and when they are not being directly supervised.

•||: Introduction to potty training :||•

The puppies are getting more mobile this week. Which means they are naturally starting to move away from their sleep area to handle their business.

This is the perfect time to introduce ✨potty training✨

We provide potty trays filled with alfalfa pellets (simulates the smell of outside grass) covered with turf. Over the next few days puppies will start learning this is an area appropriate for eliminating.

As they get the hang of it, the potty area will become smaller, and their play and sleep area will get bigger!

This head start to potty training will help you new owners tremendously when you bring your pups home because they will already have an understanding that they shouldn’t poop/pee in their living area.

Saturday, April 29th at 10:00am families are invited to come pick up their puppies.

We will have a brief meeting beginning at 10:00am with all new owners together to go over AKC registrations, health and vaccination records, feeding schedules, and tips for making the transition to their new home successful.
