What is a Theriogenologist? It's a veterinarian that is board certified in reproduction, obstetrics, and gynecology. This means that Dr. Cohen has recieved specialized training and is a diplomate of the American college of Theriogenologists. Dr. Cohen is passionate about creating the healthiest and happiest animals possible. She has had a life long fascination with purpose bred animals and how tha

t shapes them as individuals. She strives to support responsible breeding practices through education and discussion.

Such a great experience!

SFT representatives joined Royal Canin at the American Kennel Club Championship in Orlando, Florida on December 14-15. They answered theriogenology questions at the AKC booth and also during a short “lunch and learn” session.

“The AKC Championship provided us an opportunity to connect with breeders, owners, and vendors in an energetic environment while educating them about the field of theriogenology. The SFT is truly grateful to Royal Canin for providing us the shared venue space and facilitating networking opportunities - we are excited to continue this new partnership with future events! Lastly, a genuine thank you to those volunteers who traveled and donated their personal time to participate in this event: Drs. Jessica Cohen, Carla Barstow, Audrey Kelleman, and Luis de Aguiar," shared Dr. Candace Lyman, SFT Board President.

Great job guessing our Merle Great Dane puppies! Got a more difficult one for you with these little ones - this giant breed is described as “gentle in spirit and nature, friend to all”. This working dog is instantly recognizable as an adult, but a bit more challenging when just 1 day old!

When our LVT Nicole was going to be away for her birthday we decided to make her a little video! Vet med can be a very difficult field both physically and emotionally, good to see our staff having a bit of fun!

Diagnostic Ultrasound is one of the most valuable tools in a Theriogenologists arsenal and can be used for so many different applications! This little guy had a lot to say about the ultrasound interrupting his nap, watch as he moves his mouth in a baby "bark"! You can also see his heart beating and his front paws. We love catching these moments!
