C: And *here* are the pics to go with my earlier post regarding the seventh of my ten favorite memories: that is, my time spent with the grandparents when they used to visit.

01/05/2024

C: As I've been discussing over this recent holiday season, I have now been on this earth for 10 of your human years -- which is why I've been sharing 10 of my favorite memories. Seventh up: it's true that I get excited when anyone comes to visit -- but some of my best times were spent when those visits were from my "grandma and grandpa". Her lotion tasted so good ... and he liked to fall asleep on the couch just like me!

C: And *here* are the pics to go with my earlier post regarding the sixth of my ten favorite memories: that is, the things I've seen on my W-A-L-Ks. Not seen are the videos I've taking of me *waiting* on one OR *coming home* from one.

12/29/2023

C: As I've mentioned a lot recently, I have been on this earth for 10 of your human years. And what with it being the holidays and all, I decided to share 10 of my favorite memories. Sixth up: I love my routines -- and, except for when the weather interferes, those routines begin every day with a W-A-L-K in my 'hood. When I was younger, I could do three blocks up ... and now that I'm older, I tend to only do a block or less -- but I am happiest when I am doing my p*e-mails and "reading" the "posts" in my neighborhood and smelling the new smells on the breeze. Plus -- everything gets even better when one of the other humans who live in my kingdom say "good morning" to me -- which is tantamount to granting permission for me to kiss and lick them, as per the well established rules of the morning W-A-L-K.

C: I have been on this earth for 10 of your human years. And what with it being the holidays and all, I decided to share 10 of my favorite memories. Fifth up: I may not venture out into the world all that often, but when I get in the car, I'd sure much rather go to one of those P-A-R-Ks than the other place we drive to (aka the V-E-T).

C: And *here* are the pics to go with my earlier post regarding the fourth of my ten favorite memories: that is, that time I threw my collar in the ring to run for President in 2020. Below are some of my campaign slogans AND two things I would have addressed on my first day in office -- legislating the neighborhood noise on behalf of my (now late) brother AND repealing the five second rule so we could all have our chances at dropped floor food.

C: In just a few days, I'll have been on this earth for 10 of your human years. And what with it being the holidays and all, I decided to share 10 of my favorite memories. Fourth up: there was that one time I briefly flirted with running for President this past election cycle. In my defense, it seemed like just about *everyone* was running ... and, in my humble opinion, it seemed like I had better ideas than just about all of them.

C: And *here* are the pics to go with my earlier post regarding the third of my ten favorite memories: that is, memories of all those involved in my rescue but ESPECIALLY my foster. This is Ashley and I before I joined my forever family and then once again when we connected within the first year of being in my new home. (We also had a reunion a few years later in 2016, but those pics are part of a FB video and weren't as easily [re]shared.)

C: Later this month, I'll have been on this earth for 10 of your human years. And what with it being the holidays and all, I decided to share 10 of my favorite memories. Third up: I know I wouldn't be here without the folks who rescued me -- the literal rescue, the people that run it, the people that support it, the insiders at animal control that contacted the agency and, of course, my very own foster who nursed me to health and, in so doing, saved my life.

C: And *here* are the pics to go with my earlier post regarding the second of my ten favorite memories: the fact that I'm a triplet, but with one sibling who passed early on in the rescue process and another who crossed that famous bridge within her first year with her new family. These are rare photos of her (named Willow) and me from nearly a decade ago now. As I said in my post, I have SO much love to give, because I have to give it on behalf of the other two.

C: Later this month, I'll have been on this earth for 10 of your human years. And what with it being the holidays and all, I decided to share 10 of my favorite memories. Second up: before I was a part of this big family, I was actually born a triplet. Sadly, one sibling passed before or shortly after the rescue, and my sister Willow crossed over the rainbow bridge a few months after being adopted. It's actually why I have SO much love to give ... because I have to put it out there for ALL three of us to make up for what they couldn't.

12/12/2023

C: Later this month, I'll have been on this earth for 10 of your human years. And what with it being the holidays and all, I decided to share 10 of my favorite memories. First up: the neighbor dogs next to the first house my family had for the first of my ten years. I still remember playing kissy-face with Lola ... and with Nawla. 'Cause, as someone with the name Casanova, I'm most definitely a lover.

Happy Saturday! As we decided to do on occasion in this new year, we leave you for our long weekend (see you again on Wednesday -- or maybe earlier!) with something that made us smile in hopes it does the same for you. Plus -- we can neither confirm nor deny that this might be happening out front on the driveway most evenings ... at least not until we can capture our colony in our own photos.

12/09/2023

C: So we told them we'd see them again on Wednesday.
S: And here it is Saturday all over again.
H: Where did the week go?
L: If I may offer up this bon mot: we technically did not specify *which* Wednesday.
H: "Bon mot"?
L: I live in a house of old folks and older canines and felines nearly twice my age. I have to entertain myself somehow ... so I choose to learn new phrases to pass the time whilst y'all are taking so many naps!

12/02/2023

L: And now I get to close out this year's gratitude week around these parts. To which I say that I'm so thankful that they added me to the family from out of the back yard a few years ago 'cause I have a lot of love to give and they seem like they could use some. Plus, food is MY love language (just like theirs), so I really really fit in!

Happy ! From each of us seen here to all of you.

Happy ! From each of us seen here to all of you.

12/02/2023

H: Woo-hoo! It's my turn to take part of our gratitude week, admittedly delayed a bit from our original plans. Regardless, this year, I'm so thankful that I finally decided to break down and embrace the life of the lap cat. And although I still haven't quite conquered the skill of NOT including a "love nip" here or there as I'm settling in, I'm thinking I really *like* the warmth of a human once or twice a day.

11/30/2023

S: So before we took our holiday, we were doing gratitude week at our house ... and now it's my turn! I am so thankful for my canine brother. I may look like a cat -- but I identify as a dog most days: sleeping in, chasing other cats (i.e. my feline sisters), and hiding from the vacuum monster. Most importantly, I am so thankful that he lets me walk him down the hallway each night before bed, like the seeing-eye cat I am for him.

L: I'm pretty sure I asked Santa Claws for a throne ... but I guess I can make this thing work, so long as the canine in the house knows his place is down there bowing to me.

11/30/2023

C: We're back!
S: Picking up where we left off.
H: Sometimes, you just need a holiday break.
L: And by sometimes, we mean this past week.

11/23/2023

C: It's gratitude week at our house! And although I may be blinder and slower and heavier than I used to be (but, then again, who isn't? [... and by "who", I of course mean my humans]), I am so thankful that almost all of my days start with a W-A-L-K up the block. I still get to search for the elusive delicacies of my youth (aka stray cat s**t) ... and I still get to p*e on eveyone's lawn to make sure they know that this block belongs to me ... and I still enjoy every minute of it.

Happy Saturday! As we decided to do on occasion in this new year, we leave you for our long weekend (see you again on Wednesday!) with something that made us smile in hopes it does the same for you. Let's face it -- sometimes, one has to pontificate prior to p*eing. That's just the way it is ...

11/18/2023

S: Coming next week ...
H: Our annual gratitude posts.
L: Not that we're not thankful every day -- especially around feeding times, plural.
C: *Also* coming next week: turkey!! Lots and lots of turkey -- sometimes with *gravy*!!!

LUCAS: Happy ! I call this one "when your favorite restaurant only has outdoor seating BUT it's been raining for the last day SO they make a little covered area with the trash can lid for you to chow down SEEING AS HOW you kind of have a standing reservation AND you're really their best customer there".

L: I don't know what a snooze alarm is, but apparently, I'm getting one for Christmas as soon as he can figure out whether to install it on my head or my butt. Or at least that's what he said this morning at 6:45am when I demanded breakfast fifteen minutes before the thing he calls his "alarm" was set to go off.

S: I get it. This time of year, they watch even MORE of those cooking shows. But the amount of times I hear my name get mentioned during the episodes ... makes me wish I had royalties or something.

C: When you KNOW that "tongue-out Tuesday" is already well established ... but it crosses your mind that "teefie-out Thursday" might be something that you can get started.

LUCAS: You remember me, right? I'm one of the regulars out front on the driveway who stops by to eat and run.
RC TAIL: And I'm the other regular regular who sometimes shows up at the same time.
LUCAS: We may be outdoor kitties, but we know that a "head butt" is an appropriate gesture of thanks to those who are making sure we get fed.
RC TAIL: And we know that a well timed "head butt", right when he's pouring the food on the plate, results in a bigger pour.
LUCAS: We may be outdoor kitties who probably almost definitely live on the street ...
RC TAIL: But they don't call it *street smarts* for nothing.

Happy Saturday (on a Tuesday -- 'cause sometimes life is like that)! As we decided to do on occasion in this new year, we leave you for our not so long weekend (see you again back on schedule tomorrow!) with something that made us smile in hopes it does the same for you. It's why Lucky's never been invited to hang out during their at-home drinking nights.

11/14/2023

C: We haven't been posting according to our schedule.
H: We can blame the daylight savings time thing.
S: Except that was just an hour, not days. And we technically gained *more* time for things.
L: I DON'T KNOW WHEN TO YELL FOR FOOD ANYMORE! THIS ADULT STUFF IS HARD!!

Happy (albeit on a Tuesday -- and no judgment ... it's just a topsy-turvy world in which we live)! This is the look you give when you discover there was actually space in that luggage thing into which you could have easily fit all along.

L: Now I'm not saying whether one parenting style is better or worse ... just that they are not necessarily the same. For instance, one says "you stop scratching that" ... and the other says "don't you get *caught* scratching that". I may be the youngest in the house, but I understand the difference.
