History

After traveling and falling in love with the Caribbean Islands, the owners took all of the best ideas that the islands offered and decided to build a tiki bar. Well, with the help of a few friends it turned into one of the best beach bars in all of Ohio. As all the locals know, if the Jolly Roger is flying, the drinks are cold and there is a party going on. Situated on

Lake ToddHo, swimming is a fan favorite but they also have stand up paddle boards and a relaxation station. On sunny days you can see Heidi out the lake on the boards with her two dogs, Nittany and Lucia, who are always hanging out around the bar. Nittany is behind the bar and Lucia will always greet you with some kind of toy. If getting wet is not your thing, than there is a BAR with Direct TV and a hammock that is to die for. Corn Hole, a game that includes tossing bags at boards, for you non-midwesterners, it is a lot of fun. As you are sitting at the bar look to your left. Hanging there is a ski with holes in it. Ask the bartender what the ski is for. You can thank me later. If you are sitting at the bar you might want to practice the Island Ring Game. Beware you might get hustled by the locals. Night Time

Night time is the absolute best when a large fires burns and the wine, beer and rum is flowing. The stories that come out during those late nights are classic. There is always great music and by then people are crowding around the ring game or paying a dice game called "3's". On chilly nights you might have to cuddle if you have someone. If not, there are propane heaters and of course, more alcohol. Food and Fare

Known for their food off the grill, J’s is outstanding. Barbeque is the best but try their guacamole. On special occasions when the deep fryer is hot the onion rings are a can’t miss. The local drink is J’s H***h which is unforgettable or maybe forgettable if you have more than one. Listen for the blender as those drinks are as some say “worth every calorie”. The retail shop was just coming on line with most items featuring the Jolly Roger on them. I was one of the lucky ones to get a T-shirt as they sold out on the first day.
