48 eggs currently incubating. A mix of BBS Ameraucana, black copper marans, welsummers/BCM, F2 olive eggers, little banty eggs, and some from my favorite hens because why not 😂

After cutting back on our rabbit numbers, we've decided to only have two litters this year, both are due May 9th.

Tallulah (chocolate tort VM) was bred to Axle (chestnut possible VC)
Tupelo (tort VM) was bred to Jack (BEW)

Both litters will be pedigreed Germans, one should produce VM tort, chocolate tort, and BEWs, the other could produce black, chestnut, chocolate, chocolate agouti, tort, chocolate tort, and possibly VM or BEW.

There may not be any blue eyed whites in this litter, but we ended up with lots of blue eyed torts. This is by far the cutest litter we've ever had! Purebred German angoras.

Each one of these babies had a 50% chance to be a Blue eyed white. How did I end up with 9 VM torts and no BEWs at all.. There sure are some gorgeous markings in there though!

Some days having livestock is hard. Yesterday we welcomed a much anticipated litter of angoras, but only hours before, we had to put down their great grandmother, the foundation doe of my German angora herd. She was old and I haven't been able to keep weight on her for a while, but she was such a sweet girl and a favorite to everyone who met her. Rest well Lotus.

Taking good pictures of squirmy babies is not the easiest task.. Julep's babies are 5 weeks old and are getting cuter by the day! These guys are 94% German so should end up as great fiber producers.
