Each morning starts with a little essential oil spa for the Standard Daxie pups (mainly because they get a bit smelly but ssshhh, don't tell them!!). A little Lavender and Frankincense oils get them smelling fresh and relaxed for their bottle. •

In other news, and by no means any less important, these three musketeers turn 8 weeks on Weds and start leaving for their new homes at the end of the week. They have been an amazing litter, so easy going and I'm so proud of them. Absolute beauties xx •

Post-milk snuggles with her brother.
Tiny is...OK. She isn't much worse, she isn't any better. •
I'm feeling pretty emotional this morning as I just want her to pick up. She is so, so fragile and I want her to thrive like the others are. Lack of sleep is making me tearful and extremely worried.

Back from the vets with Tiny. We'll give her until Thursday to see if she can gain some weight and if not, the vets will insert a feeding tube. She has a very large growth/lump at the bottom of her back too, which has been aspirated and the contents looked at under a microscope. It isn't an infection which is good news, so may need to be cut out when slightly older. It's not hindering her movement or bodily functions, but is causing some discomfort, so hopefully it will be sorted sooner rather than later. Little love. What she doesn't have in size, she makes up for in character! She's now enjoying a private feeding session before the clipping of 200 nails commences 😉

Day 5 and taking things day by day. Everyone is gaining except from Tiny, she was the 11th pup and born via caesarean. Clearly the placement of her placenta within the uterus wasn't great and didn't have a rich blood supply (that's the cause of a 'runt' but I loathe that word), so she got far less nutrients than the others. Tiny and I are going to visit the vet tonight, just for a check up, make sure all is ok. She may be the smaller but she shouts the loudest so it will be an interesting outing ;)
