Stormy just laying on the porch enjoying the 60 degree weather. Most days im dragging her in the house because its to hot for her to be outside laying in the sun.

Finding something that stormy both fits in and is comfortable in isnt easy, but I think we have a winner. She still comes to work with me to help teach classes so its important that she is willing to use something to show how place is done. Looks like i will be getting one for work and one for home so she doesnt get confused. Place is an important cue to teach for those times when you need your dog to stay somewhere out of the way for an extended period of time. I ask for a place and stay and then place treats around her to work on impulse control. She understands that she Isnt supposed to move until she is given the next cue.

Happy valentine's day. Today stormy got a couple toys and treats, her favorite was a stuffed champagne bottle. She was drinking a bit early today, but its 5:00 somewhere right? Lol

The gentleness of stormy with the little ones amazes me every day. She sometimes doesnt understand her size, but is always so carefull with the younger grandkids.

Stormy never minds when I dress her up. Her costume isnt complete yet "if you cant tell she is going to be a race horse" but I put her in part of it today to get her used to the hood. She didnt seem to mind to much, even though she wasnt a fan of having I her ears fully covered.

How does stormy spends her days at work with me? She plays with small puppys and children all day. She loves her work days and she is such a good girl and gentle with young children and puppys of all sizes.

And then there was snow. She has no idea she isnt a double coated dog. Lays in the snow and refuses to come in. I have to bring her out on a leash because im afraid she wont come in and ill find her stuck to the ground somewhere. She just lays in the snow and shoves her face right in the snow. Such a goof ball, I swear she thinks she is either a lab or a huskey. Lol

Wednesday: the day before the snow showed up. She loves playing with her ball. She has had that ball since the day I braught her home. Its a red ball with a blue piece of fabric on it. The fabric is there to help me throw it. She has learned how to grab it bye the end and throw it to herself. I feel like im not needed any more Lol

When your dog is black you improvise at night so you can see where she is when you are calling her into the house. Lol I have to say im loving the light up collar. I feel better letting her out on the property at night when I know I can see her if I want to check on her.

This is not a relative of mine, so I asked permission from his parent to use the photos and decided to block out his eyes. She was so gentle. At one point the little boy grabbed stormy bye her lips to pull her to him to kiss her again and she just went with it. She shows me every day just how good her temperment really is.

Stormy at the sitters, "her second mom" she absolutely loves playing with the huskeys. She is now much taller than them so she sometimes lays on the floor to play. They were all playing nicely with a bone. No aggression with these dogs at all. They pull bones and toys out of each others mouths without incident. This is what happens when you know the lines of your dogs and know they have great temperments.

Stormy and her buddys. The goldens are so good with her. She is still all puppy at 7 months old and they deal with her antics very well. They all definately love each other.

I hope everyone had a good holiday. Stormy and I dressed up at work Christmas eve. She didnt even try to get the hat off. After a couple classes she took a nap in the ring until it was time to go home.

After closing we lock the automatic doors and I do some safe in store training. For a few minutes while I help fix shelves. She is definately doing really well, especially considering she is only 6 months old. Im definately proud of her.

Our last day in Yonkers. Headed home today. Stormy has met so many great people and dogs on her adventure. Thank you all for making this as stress free as possible. She has played hard, and slept even harder lol

I try to still get some training in every day. Just to keep her on task. Being in the hotel we cant work on long distance come or sit so we are working on hand commands as hand signals rather than voice, it sets a good foundation for long distance tasks. We call these push ups. It took her a few minutes but she figured out what I wanted her to do.
