Cream Legbar, Black Copper Marans, Lakenvelder, Russian Orloff, Green Queen, Whiting True Blue, Salmon Faverolle, Mottled Java, Lisa Steele’s Cookies and Cream, Light Brahma, Welsummer, Lavendar Orpington, Chocolate Orpington, Mystic Onyx, Hampbar, Golden Campine, Crele Penedescenca, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, Barred Rock and Exchequer Leghorn.
All are guaranteed female and range from 1-8 weeks old depending on breed. We also have Lisa Steele’s Cookies and Cream started pullets and Green Queen older than 10 weeks. In laying hens we currently have 1 grey/green egg layer, 1 Lavendar Orpington, 1 Russian Orloff and 1 Mottled Java available between 1 and 2 years old. PM for details! Our hens apparently knew St. Patty’s Day was coming. They’ve been laying extra vibrant shades of green this week. What a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow this was to find in our nesting boxes today! 🍀

Update: This beauty has joined her forever flock! Genetics release! For those who have been looking for chocolate egg layer hens already laying, we have one gorgeous 1 year old chocolate egg layer hen from our hybrid genetics breeding program now available! She has been acclimated to other breeds and has no known bad habits or issues. Interested in adding this beauty to your flock? PM for details!

Update: This beauty has found her new roost! Genetic availability alert! One of our favorite hens is retiring from our colorful egg layer breeder program this year and she is now available. She is a MarsBar and will lay an olive egg which is sometimes greyish due to excellent bloom. She is still in her prime and laying well! She has been acclimated to other breeds and has no known bad habits or issues. PM for details!

Heads up laying hen seekers! This proud little mama hen just laid her first egg! For those who have been patiently awaiting hens laying now, keep an eye on our page as we will have a limited supply of our dark genetic chocolate and deep olive eggers available soon! The Summer 2023 hatchlings are beginning to show us their colors!

Here is a little glimpse into a typical day here on the Rocking 4D Poultry farm. Beyond the poultry it’s vegetable gardening, seed starting, cattle raising, incubating, fainting goats, country folks, hay baling, mullberry picking, county fairs, messy hair, dewberry jamming, pressure canning, farm to table, baseball when we’re able, home cookin, sunset lookin and God’s blessings when we could be stressing. There’s a certain peace that comes with watching a few chickens peck around in the yard at the end of a long day and we love it when we hear stories about our birds giving that same kind of peace to their new flock owners too!
