The June opening was delayed in the passing of our dad. It was an emotional challenge to open our first day, July 27. But, the encouragement from our faithful customers was amazing. You warmed our hearts. 🙏🏾

It poured down raining on us but y’all kept on coming!

Shannon Farm Homestead Products hosted the Sable Village Homeschoolers, one of 5 learning groups included in the Junior Master Gardener certification program sponsored by the Gary FoodCouncil and their parents this past Friday.

For their service project the students assisted in clearing beds, organizing, turning soil, and preparing new dirt among other things.

🌸 💐 The grass isn’t cut yet because dandelion is the first food of the season for bees and other insects.
🐝 🐝. The neighboring 🐝 from Oasis Botanical Garden visit Shannon Farms for nourishment.

Lot of fun getting to know the students and their parents. They all left will mammoth sunflower seeds for planting. We can’t wait to host them again!
