Training with Lucy. Teaching her instead of going after stuff on the ground I want her to stop and acknowledge me first and I’ll let her know if it’s something she can have or can’t have. And she did amazing every time looked for my approval and the difficulty will keep going up next. It’ll be dog treats on the ground.

So if you don’t know, me, video might seem strange. So a little background, my best tool in my toolbox for training is my praise voice(baby voice). It’s a hard ask for me to show up and be more exciting than a squirrel or a chipmunk or a cat etc. you get the point LMAO my fallback is the baby voice and my dogs always respond very well to it lol

A common misconception that I hear all the time is that people just want their dog to be a dog. they genuinely feel that training would take the fun and joy out of a dog’s life. in my experience that couldn’t be further than the truth because you’re giving the dog positive outlets for his pent up energy. I believe dogs are their happiest when they please their owner. A dog having tasks, is giving them purpose , along with confidence! Which you will learn are very important to your dog. So please call me if you want to give your best friend a better quality of life !
