We are plumping this girl up and hopefully getting her spay completed next month. She’s an Aussie around 6 months old. She’s quite small but this is likely due to being so malnourished.

Benny is feeling SO much better and is so excited to move to his actual foster now that he’s well enough!! Thank you to his medical foster who helped him and kept him cozy while he recovered. ❤️

Oscar had declined so rapidly in the shelter setting that his euthanasia was scheduled. He was becoming a danger to other animals as well as himself.

If I hadn’t trusted the wardens word that he was an amazing dog he just needed out, if the foster hadn’t trusted me that I believed he would do better out of the shelter, if the foster hadn’t stepped up, Oscar wouldn’t be here right now. His life would have ended in a scary place.

The reality is a lot of dogs don’t get pulled in time. And before you come for the warden who made the incredibly difficult decision to ultimately euthanize if a dog displays certain behaviors, please know I’ve never met a warden who is so intuitive with their dogs. So many dogs DONT jump back like Oscar did. This warden knows her dogs and she knows when they can’t be saved. She knows when they become dangerous to themselves or others. I will never fault her for the decisions she makes as I know it’s with pure love.

I’m so grateful we could save Oscar and I’m so grateful I’ll get to continue saving them with an amazing team of partners and fosters.

Oscar triggered such a fire in me. My visions for my building and my rescue became crystal clear. I loved rescue, but the second I dropped him off at foster it changed everything in me. This is my passion.

You guys. This is ONE MONTH of TLC. We have had Ginny in our care for just over a month. She is literally almost unrecognizable.

The first photo was the one that I saw and knew I had to help her.
The second photo was the day she joined us.
The third photo is today.

Yes, sweet little TBone is still with us! He got a much needed haircut in hopes he finds his forever home!

TBone was our little mill man who was very shy and timid. He still takes time to warm up, be he’s come SO far you guys!!!

Sometimes rescue looks like saving a dogs life for them to be so ungrateful LOL!!

Nora spent a few days with me. I had to quarantine her and give her sub q. She took some meds she didn’t like. But today she did SO well, her stool is way better, her appetite back. I had a wonderful driver help get her to foster and the way she jumped into my drivers arms smothering her with love and kisses. This girl wasn’t excited to see me. Not once LOL. But she was thrilled to leave me.

The thanks from some pups is one WE have to pretend they feel. 🥲😅

Guess who is next up for FHO surgery?

Poor Ace is still so young but his hip dysplasia is pretty bad. Thankfully the vet who did Kokos beautiful FHO surgery is confident Ace can benefit from it as well!

We are quoted around $2,000 for this one as well. We are getting hit with these surgical cases, but we don’t mind! With your support we can keep going!

Hopefully Ace can get back to being a puppy after this 🤞🥺

TRANSPORT SECURED!!!

We are looking for a different type of transport on Sunday!

This is Delaware- one of Ginny’s babies! Ginny is the girl that was found very underweight and stray in Virginia. It’s a very long story how she found me… but half of her litter was found before we could get them all. And the person who took in Delaware did the right thing, even though it was hard, and surrendered Delaware to us as well. He wanted Delaware to get the best start in life and knew that meant more time with momma! He asked to adopt him back when he was ready. We of course agreed to this! Now we are trying to help get Delaware part of the way on Sunday to his new family.

This is a special case, and NO we do not transport dogs out of state for adoption. This is a very special case and for this owner to do what was right and still commit to him was very inspiring!

If you can help get Delaware south of Columbus, OH on Sunday morning, please let me know! We would love to assist him in getting to his forever.

FOSTER SECURED!!! THANK YOU GUYS!!!

🚨🚨SOS🚨🚨

Griffin need his tail amputated immediately. This will be taking place on Thursday. We need to get him into a DOG FREE foster by this weekend for his recovery!!

If you have a home without other dogs and would consider fostering Giffin while he heals and puts on weight, please please reach out.

I know you all are so excited to jump in and help cute little puppies, but Griffin is in desperate need. He may not be a tiny fluffy puppy but he’s an amazing loving dog who needs help too.

🚨🚨🚨URGENT🚨🚨🚨

We need a dog free foster for Griffin! He is showing severe resource guarding over the foster with the other dogs. This is absolutely common in dogs in his condition!!! Griffin is in survival mode. Once he has weight back on and his body is healed, we can reintroduce dogs appropriately as he does do well with them for the most part. But at this point, he needs to be the only dog in the home.

What a week already, you guys. I’ve been hiding these little bundles from you all while they are monitored closely. I believe they are some type of spaniel mix? They were dumped in the cold and left to die. A few siblings were found deceased but a Good Samaritan found them and took them to a nearby shelter. We are so glad we have been able to help them. 💕

Little miss Nora couldn’t keep down any of her food when we first got home yesterday. Last night I gave her a few bites of a scrambled egg and she was able to eat it no problem and kept it down! This morning she was looking for more lol. I made her a scrambled egg this morning and she scarfed it down. I’m glad something is tasting good for her that she can keep down! We tried some rice- she said “are you kidding?” Lol not a fan.
