The Treutle’s and their pup Coe!

Next week these guys will take their young dog Coe out for his first taste of hunting season! They have put the work in through training sessions and now it’s time for the real deal! Coe is out of our very own Koozie MH and Missy MH (owned by Rockin M Kennels).

🦆 Baby Wheeler on his first hunt with owner Zeke Nunez, hunting with Fairwater Charters 🦆
Wheeler spent a year with us going through our Basic and Advanced Retriever programs. During the time with us he picked up a few Junior and Senior Hunt test passes. Zeke has come out learning how to handle and prep themselves as a team for this duck season and it has paid off! We look forward to seeing more of their hunts together and having Wheeler back in the future.

Start your New Year off on a good note with a well-trained dog! We are booking spots for our obedience program and have a very limited number of openings for our advanced gun dog program.

What is an advanced gun dog?
This program is catered to duck hunters and those who hit the field often. Your dog will go through our basic program and proceed to continue into handling drills where they will learn how to run blind retrieves, multiple retrieves, and more! The end result being a finished gun dog with tons of experience and ready to impress!

Heel turn and sit at your side
PLACE onto a bed or dog stand
lay DOWN on the floor or bed

Your dog will be expected to SIT at doorways, and wait to be invited through them. This is not only convenient for you but also for their safety! 🐾🐾

Master National 2024 Kevil, KY

We were fortunate enough to walk away with 6 of our 10 dogs passing, earning a Master National plate. 2 dogs passing their 3rd time, and entering the Master National Hall of fame will be Rizzy and Bacon. Huge Congrats on a major accomplishment! Rizzy is our own, and will be retiring 🎉😩

Pass rates were low… around 30%, so we are holding our heads high, and proud for our dogs that got through. Thank you to the owners for giving us the opportunity to stand beside these athletes, it’s a privilege to work with such talented dogs. The few who didn’t pass, deserved to be there, the cards just didn’t fall in their favor; still an accomplishment just to be on this stage.

Shoutout to Jeff Brown and Chris Krause for being travel buddies / training partners that strive for the best quality and helped out a ton! (And chef Jeff for keeping us well fed!)

We got to our home in Illinois, and the property was not suitable for training like we had hoped. Some phone calls and very generous people granted us access to properties we never would have expected. I’m proud to be a part of the retriever community where strangers have eachothers backs. I look forward to repaying the favor one day. Kirk Keene you’re the MVP!! Thank you!
