Dear Loving Touch Clients,
We are expecting our first winter snow of the year! ❄️☃️

As most of you know, my closings are determined by the Whitehall and Northwestern school district snow closings. 📚

However, when snow falls on a weekend.. I will be needing to have my father who works for the township, be the determining factor whether we will be closed or not- as I am not willing to put my employees in danger, as well as my clients.

Cancellation fees will not be applied when it comes to bad weather as I would rather you and your furry friend to be safe, although please be curtious of our time and let us know prior to your appointment time.

Clients will be notified 2hours prior to opening time, whether we will be operating as a normal day, pushed back, or closed as a whole!

To all my supportive, wonderful clientele…
Rosco is in need of your help!

As I posted before, Rosco is in need of a home.
As much as I tried to keep him, I simply do not have the space for him.

We are to the point where we have asked shelters to take him, but due to me getting him chipped, Neutered, and vaccinated.. he is now classified as “having an owner” and they will not take him.

Because I do not have the space, or time to properly take care this wonderful boy, I have been forced to give him to the original man who found him and brought him to me.

This man ALSO can not take care of Rosco properly, and I would hate to hear that something happened to this sweet boy.

Dog trainers, dog behavioralists, vets, or someone who has volunteered at rescues/shelters… please help me find this boy a home.. even if it’s just temporary..

Rosco is a VERY sweet boy, and just wants to be loved the right way.

He takes awhile to warm up to people, and due to me not feeling comfortable with introducing another dog to him.. I also do not know how he is with other dogs.

He would need to be in a home with someone who will be the “Alfa” but also have a soft spot and will be willing to be patient with him…

PLEASE PLEASE help… This boy has stole my heart, and it’s breaking me knowing he can’t be with me and my team anymore.

In appreciation of all the love and support I have received along the way, I want to thank all of my amazing clients! The year has been filled with trials and errors, but as it progresses, it continues to improve😊

DOG OWNERS – Reports have been made of an as-of-yet unidentified respiratory illness that’s causing serious symptoms in dogs in several states, especially the west coast. This illness appears to be resistant to traditional treatments and has reportedly been fatal in some cases. Veterinarians are still working to learn more. While we don’t believe it’s cause for panic at this time, we recommend being cautious and taking the follow steps to keep your pets safe:

WHAT WE RECOMMEND:
• Ask your veterinarian for advice on which vaccinations your dog should have and ensure they are current on them
• Your dog should avoid groups of dogs from outside your household and high-traffic areas such as doggy daycares, boarding kennels, dog parks, and communal water bowls
• Contact your veterinarian if your dog displays symptom of respiratory diseases such as coughing, sneezing, nose and eye discharge, and lethargy. Avoid dogs with these symptoms, and if your dog is showing symptoms keep them quarantined at home until a doctor can see them. If your dog does become sick, a PCR test can help determine if the illness is viral or bacterial.

WHAT WE KNOW:
• The illness has primarily been reported from Oregon and surrounding northwest states, but potential cases have also been reported from other areas including New Hampshire and Massachusetts
• The illness appears to be minimally/non-responsive to most treatment methods and may progress quickly to severe pneumonia

WHAT WE DON’T KNOW:
• At this time there is no known way to identify what’s causing the illness – veterinarians are hard at work to determine where it’s coming from and how to treat it
• Because it can’t be definitively identified, it’s difficult to say which reported cases are cause for alarm and which ones are not. Until we know more, it’s best to be careful.

For now, we recommend an abundance of caution and keeping your dog away from groups of dogs from outside your household where disease is more likely to spread. When it comes to the health and safety of our pets, it’s always better to not take any risks. We are following the story closely and will keep you informed of any updates or new discoveries. Spread the word, and stay safe!

Important announcement for ALL pet owners!

There is currently a respiratory illness in the dog world, that vets are struggling to find antibiotics to treat..
Symptoms of respiratory illness include;
- Coughing
- Sneezing
- Nasal or Eye Discharge
- Lethargy

If your pet is experiencing any of these symptoms, it is encouraged that you see a vet immediately.

In the event that your pet experiences any of these symptoms, please do not bring your pet in to the appointment and reschedule when you are cleared by the veterinarian.

Due to putting my personal dogs and clients at risk, and the need to double disinfect. Sick pets, will be sent home immediately, and will incur an additional $15 fee.

All clients will be asked to answer a number of questions prior to bringing their pet in for their appointment.. at least until vets can gather some more information on this illness!

A lot of people wanted to know what brand of collar Chief was wearing when it exploded and he was burnt with battery acid.😭 I found this collar through a recommendation in a lab mom group. This was a brand new collar, and we only had it for maybe a month. We didn't use it for the shocking features, but we did for the vibration. If you know anyone who uses training collars for their pets, please tell them about Chief. After googling, I did find other stories of this happening. He is in loads of pain and has a long road to recovery. I'm so sad for my poor baby boy!💔🐾
