We have one lesson spot available on Sept 7th and Sept 21st- these Saturday lessons are geared towards beginner riders who want a solid foundation but are not quite ready for the commitment of weekly lessons. Please reach out if you want to get on the schedule!

Meet Frodo- our very best beginner lesson pony!! He is a middle aged Kiger mustang/Norwegian Fjord 13.3 pony that loves to be groomed and give kisses while teaching his students to love to ride. Frodo is available for lessons and potential half lease. Reach out for more details!

The Grand Farms Riding Academy has officially made the transition back to Grand Farms! We are excited to move forward with the program and can’t wait to offer new lesson packages, half leases, and horsemanship classes. We wish the Hamilton Family well in their endeavors at Hamilton Hill Farm.

We had a rotating door of riders today showing up to help with feeding, cleaning, and most of all carrying water buckets. Im so proud of every single one of you for all your effort and dedication to this farm, the animals, and this sport. Horsemanship truly starts on the ground in the worst situations and you guys have it in spades! Thank you guys!

Emma Ford (head groom for Phillip Dutton) is coming to the NW for an intensive Horsemanship clinic. She is one of the best in the world when it comes to off the horse education and is coming to share her knowledge with us!! Hopefully you will be able to take advantage of this opportunity- feel free to sign up for the pony club session, even if you are not a pony club member, if you think the full day is too long for you.

Fun facts and comparisons!

I saw this and had to share. This puts in perspective a horse's skeletal structure compared to humans. For example, what we call the "knee" on our horse friends is actually the "carpus" which is the wrist. The knee on a horse is actually their stifle. Fun facts!
