However, we will still offer overnight boarding on Christmas and New Year’s.

We had more questions for long-time OBF groomer, Amber Laur. Holding her pup, Triton, here's what she said:
Q: How often should a dog be groomed/bathed if the pup doesn't need a specific cut?
A: "No more than once a month. You don't want to dry out the dog's skin, but you do want to keep up on trimming their nails. Make sure to rinse and dry your dog completely. Dogs that need a specific cut should be groomed every six to eight weeks."
Q: How often should I brush my dog?
A: If your dog has long hair, you should maintain that, brushing your dog's coat down to the skin every day or every couple of days. If your dog's hair gets matted, it may be more humane to cut out the mats and start over. Matted hair can hide underlying health issues -- and even fleas and ticks. If your dog has short hair, brush down to the skin at least once a week. Pay special attention to the ears and tail. People often forget those."
