Shall we say, "A River Runs Through It"? Umm. That is all thanks to the rains on Monday and Tuesday, which made us cancel daycare Wednesday and Thursday! And, our phones are out. It is "The Perfect Storm."
We miss having all the dogs over to play. Hoping for some sun Thursday so we can be back at hosting the best playdates EVER again on Friday! 🌞💨🌞

"The View from my Office Today"
I was able to spend today volunteering at a local farm dog trial where herding dogs had the opportunity to do what they were bred to do: move stock around the farm, in and out of pens and a trailer, and showcase the teamwork with their handler. Absolutely a joy to watch the competitors and admire their skills.

Thanksgiving turkey dinner at Born to Run was a big hit! The dogs enjoyed turkey and all the fixin's.

This past week found us Haunted by Ghoulish characters! Eek! We captured photos of them all and will make several posts based on the day the Ghosts visited us. Some are so scary and some are so cute! Some could definitely fly! Stay tuned, and be sure to let us know which ones you find the most "Spooktacular"!
This photo is from one year ago. A wonderful group of Senior dogs all here at the same time. We love our senior friends. And we've known all of them for their whole lives. Only one year later, some are no longer with us, but we know they are watching over us. 🐾🌈 And to the ones still here, You are Rockin' it!! ❤️👊

Yesterday was Whiskey's first attempt at swimming. He had the desire but lacked the courage. We helped him in. Today, he got it! In and out several times on his own. Yay, Whiskey! Now to get your brother Charlie more confident.
Can't believe we forgot to include this photo yesterday with the pool opening day photos. First of all, Beau figured out how to swim without splashing everyone. Second of all, look at Clyde watching her lesson! Typical German Shepherd, studying up for the test, watching and learning. Good boy, Clyde! You got this!

What do Labs, a German Shepherd, Border Collie, Westie, Mini-Aussie have in common? They know how to have fun and stay cool in the summer!
So much fun, watching these two boys enjoy some hose play. The Border Collie pup was afraid of spraying water when he first arrived, but now he's a believer in the fun!
If getting dirty is a sign of having fun, then we nailed it! 😂
After a little morning play, when we came in for breakfast, Jules hopped up on the sofa. We think she was wanting breakfast on the sofa instead of in her bed (crate) because she had a better view of the TV. And we love the way she wags her tail faster when we tell her she's a good girl. Doesn't she have a beautiful smile?
Digging in the Digging Pit. That's why we have it! Go, Rico, go!!
This is Jesse, who is recovering from leg surgery, so he is limited to leashed walks and crate time. We thought this might be a fun diversion for him. He loved hunting for his breakfast! His tail was still while he was concentrating and searching, but would wag so fast when he found a kibble! Thanks for the laughs, Jesse! Here's to a speedy recovery!
We had some fun this morning, playing "Hunt for your Breakfast" with some of the dogs. We enjoyed watching them do this as much as they enjoyed the hunt! (The dogs did this one at a time.)
You all know Karina, and most of you know her dog Mazie. (Mazie makes a big impression!) While Karina is going on 7 years with Val Vista Animal Hospital as a vet tech, she is going on 16 years, yes, SIXTEEN years as a valuable member of the Born to Run team! We love this photo of Karina and Mazie sitting in the lobby of our previous BTR location. Thank you, Karina, for all you do for our 4-legged and 2-legged clients!
🐾 Happy Vet Tech Week to Karina! 🐾 Karina is our newest team member and loves all animals, big and small. This love for animals of all sizes is also reflected in her personal pets as there is almost a hundred pound difference between them! Karina may be a new face around VVAH but is a regular at Born to Run, a dog activity center located in Gilbert! She helps keep pet healthy & makes sure they have fun too! It’s the best of both worlds ! Thank you Karina for all that you do; we are incredibly happy that you are a part of our team!
So much fun on the trampoline. Jenny and Hope are the stars of this film with Yeti as supporting actor. Kona, Simba, and Lokki make cameos. It's a little longer of a video than we like to share, but what part would you cut out? Yep. Impossible decision of what to cut. 😍
Hope and Jenny taking a break from wrestling while Yeti checks in to make sure they're ok. Puppies.... 100% on, then 100% off. No middle speed. And they do this all day long. 😍
