I was massaging his sister, he was staying close and releasing. It’s so interesting how when one horse is receiving body work, surrounding horses will release as well. They feel the relaxation ✨💖
Miss Libby enjoyed her massage today. 💆🏻♀️ This time around she remembered me and knew what was coming. She relaxed immediately. ✨
Today I had the privilege of working on Skipper. He was sore and tight in the poll, TMJ, shoulders, neck and pecs. His mom shared he was really sore and tender to touch on his left shoulder and was limping. When his massage was done he was so happy and running around. I love what I do, it was such a special treat for me to see him running happily 🙂
As an equine massage therapist, it’s important to teach my clients how to help their horses. The goal is avoid the use of unnecessary external aids and use the bond between horse and rider to guide them. I loved teaching my client today how to work with her horse on keeping her head low. Both are quick studies 😉
I was taught in my training to be aware of every aspect of the horse during massage. As minuscule as a change may seem, it’s significant. Here is an example of change in breathing pattern 😮💨 with the use of red light. This horse was having spasms in this area. I had already massaged the area, so I wanted to use something else in my toolbox 🧰 #equinemassage #redlighttherapybenefits #cataleyaequinemassage #ilovehorses

When the tough guy who tried to bite you during the whole massage turns to a mush after you’re done 😂🥰
