Meet 4 year old Uba. He is looking for a new home. His owner died. The owners grandson currently has him but he is allergic to him. He is going to the shelter if we can not find a new home for him quickly. He’s a good boy. He is Akc registered. Good with other dogs, potty trained, loves the pool, and follows commands. Wouldn’t you want a great boy like him home for the holidays? If you live in arizona and are interested, please go to www.rottenrottie.com and click on the forms tab and fill out an adoption application for us. Uba’s name will not appear on the drop down box because we can not officially take him into our rescue without a place for him to go, so just make a note somewhere in the application that he is who you are interested in. Thanks

Dear Rottweiler Lovers
As we approach the end of the year, i want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your support of Rotten Rottie Rescue. Your generosity has played a vital role in our mission to rescue and care for dogs in need.
This year has presented many challenges. We’ve seen a significant increase in the number of dogs we've rescued compared to last year, yet our donations have decreased. While Chewy.com has been a fantastic partner in providing food for our dogs, the sheer volume of homeless animals in our community has outpaced our usual support. Currently, we receive food donations every 8–10 weeks, which only lasts us about three weeks. With 40 Rottweilers to feed twice a day, the costs have become overwhelming. This is just one of many challenges we have been trying to overcome.
Another challenge that we face is that so many dogs that we have rescued, have needed medical care that is above the average. We just pulled two boys from the county shelter that barely have any fur on their backs and legs, they have bad teeth, stink even after they have been given two baths, and have osteoarthritis in their spines and feet. We started with a trip to the vet on Thursday which cost $700 just for their preliminary testing (X-rays and blood work for both) but they have a long road ahead of them. We are looking at another $600 surgery this week on a girl whose ovaries are stuck to her intestines and need to be separated and removed. Last week we were at the vet with Tupac who is not bearing weight on his back leg. It is never ending it seems.
And finally it seems that the dogs that we are rescuing are not adoptable until they have gone through a rehabilitation training. They are either scared to death and need to be balanced and given self confidence, so that they will fit into a family life, or they were raised by families who have done all the wrong things and they are entitled and cocky and need to be taught that they are a dog and they need to listen to and please their owner so that they can be adopted and not returned. I’m sure many of you know how expensive training can be. I feel like we are sinking and we need a life preserver. We are going to have to turn away beautiful dogs with a lot of potential without your help. These dogs have done nothing wrong, they are simply a victim of this messed up world we live in. They deserve a chance.
We understand that financial circumstances can be tough right now for many of you, and we don’t want to add to that stress. However, if you find yourself in a position to give, no matter how big or small, your contribution would make an enormous difference. There is no better time to lend a helping hand than now so that you can take a tax break on your taxes that will be coming due soon.
You can easily make a donation in several ways:
- **PayPal:** Donate directly through our PayPal link. HERE
- **Venmo:** Send your gift to -Rescue (or just put in our phone number)
- **Zelle, Apple Pay, or Cash Card:** Use our phone number, 480-567-4328, to donate through any of these apps.
- **Check:** Mail your contribution to Rotten Rottie Rescue, 335 S. Granite Ct., Gilbert, AZ 85296.
Every dollar counts and goes directly towards feeding and caring for our beloved Rottweilers. We have no employees and no one takes a pay check here. This rescue is run by volunteers who do what they do for the love of the breed. Together, we can ensure that they receive the love, medical care, training and nourishment they deserve.
Thank you for considering a donation to Rotten Rottie Rescue. I wish you and your loved ones a warm and joyful holiday season, and may the new year bring you prosperity and health.
With gratitude,
Shelly Froehlich

🐾❤️John and Drake Are Safe, But They Need Your Help🙏🐾
We’re thrilled to share that John and Drake are now safe with us! These two sweet boys have been through so much, and they’re finally getting the care they deserve.
Right now, we’re working to understand and treat their severe skin conditions. Additionally, both John and Drake seem to have significant issues with their back legs, making their road to recovery even more challenging.
Drake also has a broken canine and severely worn-down teeth, which will require extensive dental treatment. Both boys have eye issues that need attention as well.
The cost of their medical care will be significant, and we can’t do it without your support.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us provide John and Drake with the care they need to heal and thrive.
You can donate through Facebook or through Venmo, Zelle or Apple Cash by using our phone number 480-567-4338 or by debit or credit cards by going to www.rottenrottie.com and clicking on the donate button Stay tuned for updates on their health and progress as we continue to fight for them. Thank you for being part of their journey to recovery!

Update: Pogo has been pulled and we will be picking him up tomorrow !
PHOENIX, AZ
Meet Pogo – A Young Rottweiler in Need of a Hero
Pogo’s story is heartbreaking. This young boy was found abandoned, zip-tied to a fence in a park. After being rescued, he ended up at Maricopa County Animal Care & Control, where he is now on the euthanasia list.
We want to give Pogo the chance he deserves – a chance to feel safe, loved, and valued. But we can’t do it without a committed foster home.
We don’t know much about Pogo’s past, but when we met him, we saw a young, energetic, and fun-loving dog with so much potential. Shelter notes indicate he can be fearful of some people, so as a precaution, we are requiring a foster home with no small children.
We don’t know how he does with other dogs or cats. Unfortunately, the county shelter does not allow introductions with personal pets prior to adoption or rescue. If Pogo turns out not to be dog-friendly, we’d need you to be willing and able to keep him separated from your pets until we can place him elsewhere.
Pogo is estimated to be around 3 years old, but we believe he’s closer to 2 – just a big, goofy puppy at heart. He’s brimming with energy and ready to start a new chapter with someone who will give him the patience and love he’s never had.
Time is running out for Pogo. Will you be the one to save him?
If you’re interested in fostering Pogo or want to learn more about him, please reach out to us today and complete our foster application at the link below. Together, we can rewrite his story.
➡️Foster home must be in the Phoenix area and able to drive him to Gilbert for meet and greets with potential adopters and vet appointments⬅️
A couple weeks ago there were three Rottweiler's who were found in the desert. They were caught and taken to Mcacc. They are the sweetest dogs, that have been severely neglected. I think their owner must have fed them a whole, e bag of dog food at a time. The female should weigh around 80
pounds and she weighs 132
pounds! She is so fat she looks like a javelina without tusks. The boys both have very bad skin and patchy fur. Scabs on them and their skin is dry and flaky. However despite having to live in these bodies, all three are so so sweet. Mcacc is planning on euthanizing the two boys on Thursday morning, if a rescue doesn't pull them tomorrow.
We are totally willing to help them, feed them, pay for their nutritional supplements, medical bills, ect.
However we have nowhere to put them. We are looking for a foster who would be willing to take one or both, and help them heal. They have skin like an elephant. This may be as simple as a thyroid problem. If you want to foster them and you do not live in the East valley you would need to drive them to gilbert for vet appointments or for meet and greets and to pick up supplies, but a lot of times we can find someone willing to someone willing to transport for us. It's usually not that often that they need to come here.
Looking for someone who has time to spend with them, can bathe them every few days in the beginning until we get their skin condition cleared up. If you live in the East valley I could even come and get them and give them their baths at my house because I have grooming tub here and it's a lot easier. If you want to be their Christmas angel and truly do something special for another living being this holiday season, this is your opportunity! They seem to be good with other dogs but just in case you should have a way to separate them from your dogs and do a slow introduction. You must live in the phoenix area to foster for us. Please go to right now to https://www.rottenrottie.com/foster-questionnaire.html and fill out an application! Time is ticking for these two! The girl has maybe another week before she is in the same situation. I have some videos I'll post in the comments

UPDATE: Oracle is still at the shelter but the amazing Karen with Dynamic Dog Training has offered to take him for a 3 week board and train, which means if you apply to adopt him you will get a fully trained confident dog at no cost to you!
This is Oracle and he is on the euthanasia list at Maricopa County Animal Care & Control because he is terrified. When I first saw his face, my heart broke you could see all his fear and defeat. His tired, skinny little body is riddled in scars and scabs. It’s clear he has not been treated very well in this life. However, within 10 minutes Oracle went from trembling and laying alone to asking Valerie for pets. Even after all he has been through he still wanted the comfort and touch of a human being. Why do humans do this to animals? Why are people so cruel?
This sad little boy deserves so much love. All he wants is kindness and a full belly.
Maricopa County Animal Care & Control has Oracle listed as New Hope Only, which means that only one of the shelters rescue partners can save him from the shelter, he is not adoptable to the public. Unfortunately, we are unable to bring him into our rescue because even though he is listed as a Rottweiler, he is not. The sad fact is that when we bring dogs into our rescue that are not Rottweilers they don’t get adopted and they live out their days in a foster home. The problem with that is when we save a dog that doesn’t get adopted we don’t have space to save other Rottweilers that need us too. It’s a very gut wrenching fact.
However, for once in his life Oracle needs somebody to have his back. So I am here to make an offer. If anyone in the Phoenix area would like to adopt Oracle. I will save him from the shelter and you can adopt him through us. In order to adopt Oracle through us go to www.rottenrottie.com and under the forms tab complete our adoption application. His name will not be listed under our adoptable dogs, so please pick any dog and be sure to mention his name somewhere within the application.
Please if you want to be this boys hero fill out our application today. Oracle
Only has until 12/3 to be saved.

This is 1.5 year old Eva. She is a darling little girl who loves people and affection. She does well with dogs her own size but has a prey drive and lives with 4 cats and it’s dangerous for them with her in the house. Her mom is a veterinarian so she is up-to-date on her shots and spayed already and healthy. Her family would like to find her a good home and asked us to help. If you are interested in adopting Eva, please go to our website and fill out an application.

Update: so shortly after I posted this, a woman went to the park to check him out and meet him and help him but before she got there, AC also arrived before her. They took him to MCACC and he is on stray hold now.
This poor boy spent the night at a dog park . I got a call from glendale parks and recreations asking us to pick him up but I have nowhere to put him. He said that he is really nice. They have been playing fetch with him and he will sit on command and they felt bad that he probably didn’t get dinner or breakfast so they have been feeding him their lunches. They have the dog park shut down right now. They called animal control to come and get him but not sure if that will happen today or not. Does anyone have room and time to foster him ? If so let me know.

Rotten Rottie Rescue is a non profit 501C3 small rescue focused on purebred Rottweilers. We take in rottweilers that find themselves homeless and end up in the pound, or rotties that are about to be turned over to the pound because their owners can not keep them. We make sure that WE ADDRESS ALL OF THEIR MEDICAL ISSUES each dog has current vaccinations for parvo, distemper and rabies. We spay and neuter each and every dog, treat them for ticks, test them for heartworms and microchip them, and we try to work through any behavioral problems they might have before we find them VERIFIABLE loving responsible homes where they will be happy and spend the rest of their days.
We can not take in dogs from the public that are human aggressive. We rely on donations from the public, so we can continue to do what we do. Please consider donating to our no kill rescue. Together with your help, we can rescue and rehome this wonderful breed and give them a second chance to find the forever home they so deserve.
Our Mission Statement
Our goal is to rescue, restore health, and place rottweilers in safe adoptive and foster homes. To offer the public that own rottweilers advice and solutions to help them to keep their rottweilers and educate the public on the importance of spay and neutering their pets. We always advocate for the rottweiler and consider him or her our clients.
Values
OUR CLIENTS: Always putting them first and caring deeply about their success
RESULTS: Getting the job done, with genuine impact
PRECISION: Sweating every detail as master craftsmen of products and services
HONESTY and TRANSPARENCY: Speaking and demanding the unvarnished truth, and addressing challenges head on
TEAMWORK: Enjoying each other’s company and celebrating our success together, because it could not have been done by one of us alone. It takes foster families, transporters, donors, supporters, directors, and volunteers who come together to save one life at a time.
INTEGRITY: Doing the right thing, every time
TO DATE WE HAVE RESCUED OVER 900 ROTTWEILERS
There would be no need for this if people would stop breeding them!! Please adopt before you shop. If we all unite and stop buying dogs from backyard breeders, puppy mills, pet stores and even AKC breeders, then they would stop breeding until they all have a home. Although we have been successful in rehoming as many as we have, we have also been unsuccessful in rescuing 1000's of others, who were destroyed due to the inability to find them a home quick enough. Don't contribute to this number. Stand up and tell them enough is enough. No more rottweiler should have to die because they are homeless.
