This is not a quick fix for an adult dog who already has experienced fire work fear. However, it can’t hurt! It’s also a great way to train puppies and prevent fire work fear.

Remember, START SMALL. When you learn to walk you don’t start a marathon.

When treats come AFTER the boom, they must come very directly after. Within a second. Sometimes it helps to toss the treat. You can even practice tossing treats with no stimuli and create a word for it, like “get it.” That way when the scary boom happens and dogs hear “get it” they already know the drill.

Also, NOW is the day to make sure your dog has a tag, well fitting collar and a microchip.

Make sure you don’t have piles of things against your fence, creating a “ladder” to escape.

Make sure your gate has a lock on it.

Come up with a plan for your dog for the 4th. Start working on it TODAY! ❤️🧨🇺🇸

"Researchers at the University of California, Davis, have updated their guidelines on when to neuter 40 popular dog varieties by breed and s*x. Their recent paper in Frontiers in Veterinary Science adds five breeds to a line of research that began in 2013 with a study that suggested that early neutering of golden retrievers puts them at increased risk of joint diseases and certain cancers."

And there are 2 breeds they recommend not fixing at all.

For standard poodles it’s recommended not to neuter until 24 months and not to Spay before six months. I personally would wait until about 10 months for females unless you can handle the first heat then wait until after the first heat.

I’m honestly shocked no one has even called about this little guy. Maybe people don’t like silver???

He is 15 weeks, fully vaccinated (just needs rabies), dewormed, crate trained, working on potty training, walking on a leash and more.

He’s expected to be about 25lbs full grown.

This is Sammy! Lovingly nicknamed in our house as “Gorilla”. 🤣 He is a Moyen, and should reach approximately 30lbs or less. His mama is Tania (granddaughter of Sugar) and his daddy is Remmy. He is 14 weeks and has had 3 shots, vet exam and deworming. He is doing good with potty training, crate training and walking on a leash. If you take him 🏠 before this Monday, his💰 will remain the same. After Sunday his 💰 will go up to reflect additional training.

Reminder:

A Service Dog is trained to perform a specific task for a person with a disability. Service dogs are protected by the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and are guaranteed public access.

A Therapy Dog provides comfort and affection to people around her (not the handler). Therapy dogs are NOT protected by the ADA.

An Emotional Support Dog provides comfort to the handler, but is NOT protected by the ADA. However, sometimes housing and airlines make accommodations for them.

No matter which avenue you want to go (even just a pet) I highly recommend the AKC Puppy STAR program. It will set you and your puppy pass the Canine Good Citizen test and eventually become successful at EVERYTHING you do with your dog!

When I’m not raising poodles I’m training animals for film! My poodles all have an agent as well but poodles don’t get picked as often since they’re type cast as “froo froo” dogs, even though we know better!!! This is my border collie Riley. #a1animaltalent

First time outside!

UPDATE: He has a home! Good breeders always take back any puppy they produce. If every breeder did this, there would be zero dogs and shelters. A previous buyer reached out to me and asked if they could return the puppy. They bought from me along with an Aussie doodle that they bought from someone else. Life doesn’t always turn out like you are hoping, and sometimes people get into Dire Straits. So right now I have a gorgeous 10 month old intervariety male puppy available and his buddy who is an Aussie doodle. Again, I did NOT produce or sell this doodle I just couldn’t send him to a shelter. Here’s about the doodle: Do you have room for in your life for Beethoven? I am offering him with a low rehoming fee. He’s about 25lbs. 7 months old. Neutered, potty trained and up to date on vaccines. He acts like an Aussie and loves to play fetch. He will bark at the door and gate if a stranger approaches but is friendly when you allow people in. He sheds a little. He’s good with other dogs and will probably chase cats. Not impossible to stop, but will take dedication and effort. He’s been a little spoiled and will jump up on you and be a little pushy if you let him. This is solved by setting rules, boundaries and limitations, and by being a strong and fair leader. He’s probably do best with kids 7 and over because he’s so busy. Beethoven is ACTIVE and would love a hiking partner or to go on bike rides. He’s not a couch potato, he’s FUN! It would be a good idea to get him into a basic obedience class to help you get off to the right start. I will post the poodle on a separate post. Please share! Text 480-241-1526

The last babies available! We had a busy weekend and they all need to be groomed, but they’re happy puppies! The black and white tri female is available. She was reserved, but the people needed to switch to a different litter due to the timing.
