The decision and realization of selling all of
My breeders is so hard..
Today has been a hard day…
Realizing just how many babies that I have had the opportunity to have and sell to wonderful families…
Realizing how many new friends I have because of my babies…
Realizing how much a part of my life these babies are…
People wonder why I do it…
I love my babies…
I strive for beautiful healthy mutations with wonderful temperaments…
I picked nothing but the best for my breeders and have weeded out breeders that had inferior babies and/or mean babies (yes it is capable of having babies that are just plain mean). Near the beginning of this venture I had a couple of pairs that had mean babies, so those pairs were split up and sold as pets so that they did not spread bad genes…
I think most would tell you the temperaments of my babies are exceptional…

So why have I come to this decision???
As many of you know, I have had 5 MAJOR surgeries in less than 5 years.
My disease, while not typically terminal, is not curable either…
I will NEVER be “well”. While I keep pushing myself to prove I can still do it, I am in tears every night from pain.
Days like today, I ask God why I am still here, why can’t they stop the pain, what am I supposed to do?
I do believe that God guided to me to this decision and I trust everything he tells me.
I am attaching a photo just to show some of the health issues I go through.
This was my blood pressure and heart rate most of today which makes it hard to function…

Serious question…
Would anyone be interested in buying a COMPLETE setup for breeding???
My health is declining quicker than I would like and would LOVE to be able to give someone else the opportunity to get my complete setup instead of just selling off pairs…
I have the following…
Cockatiels - 10 pairs (producing white face, cinnamon, lutinos, pied, pearl, white face pearls, cinnamon pearls and white face cinnamon pearls) - last year I sold OVER 150 babies
Green Cheek Conures - 12 pairs (producing normals, pineapple, cinnamon, sun cheek, turquoise, yellow side, yellow side turquoise, high red)
Last year I sold over 50 babies (I just brought these into my breeding program 2 years ago)
Kakarikis - 2 pair (I just brought these in this past year, they are both proven pairs having 3 & 4 babies per clutch)

I have sold most of my English Budgies, however do have one pair left and enough unrelated babies to make a few more pairs
The entire setup would come with a newer (less than 5 years old) 14x30 building that is insulated and has vinyl flooring for easy clean up (also has 2 new window air conditioners I will keep with the set)
10 - double stack 21x32 flight cages (currently housing the cockatiels and conures)
6’x6’x6’ flight cage
Then the rest is the flight cages housing the kakarikis and sun conures
I will also include the 2-4 stack cages I use for the babies….

I am just starting to contemplate this idea and this is NOT cheap so would require some serious thinking.
