We still need more pictures to make a great 2025 wall calendar — please consider participating!!! $5 per picture, $1 per vote! All funds go towards rehoming and caring for our beloved up-for-adoption sighthounds!

Don't forget! Tomorrow is Photos with Santa at the Kobylenski Lodge at Camp Cochipianee in Goshen, CT! For a $20 donation to WAG, you'll receive a professional quality photo of your hound with Santa sent to your email! We'll also have a few vendors with us, as well as a small basket raffle so you can get a jump on your holiday shopping!

And it’s going to be not only a beautiful day, but also an indoor event! That’s right - INDOORS! Come browse through our vendors for all of your dog holiday shopping and get those Christmas Cards checked off the To Do List! Check out the Facebook event for more information.

We also have adoptable hounds to meet! We will also be accepting any and all physical donations that day! We are specifically looking for dry food, gently used (or new) jackets/jammies for our fosters, and of course monetary donations are always welcome.

Mason may not be the best example, but don't get caught snoozing on the job! We need your help! Please join us on our FUNdraiser to support finding homes for retired racers via We Adopt Greyhounds! We have less than 10 days to collect as many pictures as possible!

Our photo collection contest directly ties back to our finished calendar. Without adorable houndie pictures, we can't put together a calendar to celebrate our ridiculous furry family members! All we ask is that the pictures contain a sighthound and that no humans are included! They can be serious, they can be funny, they can be thematic (holidays, seasonal, etc).

*Reserving Days on the finished calendar to honor special days you celebrate (birthdays, gotcha days, anniversaries, etc)

Congratulations are in order as our little Spunky Monkey has been adopted!! As you may remember, Spunky, now Livie, is a very special needs puppy who suffers from Congenital Megaesophagus (CME) and requires a special diet and the use of a Bailey chair for eating!

She’s now almost 7 months old and a very pretty young lady who is doing well! She loves being part of her pack and having her siblings to play with. She is working on her obedience and is really smart! Her mom is taking great care of her CME and it is under control! She’s all the way up to 32 pounds and still very much growing!

She hates windshield wipers and barks at them but she loves to cuddle and maybe is even a bit spoiled with bedtime snuggles with mom, who says, “She is very confident and sassy! I love her so much!”

Congratulations to Kaylee and the whole pack!!

A little late this year, but here we go!

The photo contest has officially begun! Let’s see those adorable pictures! You can enter and vote until November 24th and then we will be taking the entries and creating a beautiful color calendar which you can purchase from WAG. Top getters get a complimentary calendar!

All proceeds from our photo contest and calendar fundraiser will go directly to support the care of and the adoption of retired racing greyhounds in 2025!

This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, and has two parts! Our photo event kicks off TODAY and will run until November 24th. Then, WAG will create a 2025 Wall calendar showcasing all of our entries. Remember, ALL entries will be included in our finished calendars (which will ship out by mid-December).

Entries are $5 each and votes are $1 each. The top 13 vote getters will prominently featured in our calendar and will also receive a complimentary calendar!

Let's get creative! We'd love to have thematic or seasonal pictures to include in the finished calendar so please consider entering your favorite holiday pictures or pictures of your hound enjoying different seasons.

A few general rules for entering the photo contest:
*Photos can feature multiple dogs. The main subject of the picture should be a sighthounds. Sighthound(s) must be featured prominently in the photo.
*Photos should only feature animals, No humans can be featured in the pictures

Tomorrow is the big day and we can't wait! Please use this map for parking information, and take advantage of the shuttle if you can! We're booth number 73, and we can't think of a better spot: food, seating, and doggo therapy all in one area!

AND swing by booth 70 to see a familiar face at the Great Acres Farm booth!

It doesn't get much better than sunbathing on a crisp, autumn day according to foster Silly! She certainly seems to be enjoying her first fall in New England 😍

Silly (Silly Joke) is still looking for her forever home and we're still scratching our heads over it! Her foster parents say she's very sweet. She gets along well with her foster sisters and everyone respects each others boundaries. She gives playful tail wags when she's happy or excited. They say she's extremely polite and well-behaved, and sleeps well in her crate! She chooses the lure pole over traditional dog toys, and loves to dig in the yard and would love a sanctioned dig pit at her forever home! We don't know about you, but this girl sounds perfect!

Silly does well in a home with other greyhounds who respect her space and boundaries, but is also confident enough to be an only dog. She is cat workable and would do well in a home with a dog savvy cat and owner. She's a bit of a breed snob and will alert you to any non-greyhounds nearby. Silly is only two years old and still has a bit of energy in her. She loves to go for walks and sniffs, has loved adventures that involve bodies of water, and is a total social butterfly who loves people!

Our hearts go out to Jackie and Keith on the loss of WAG hound Stella (fka Dream) 🩵

Stella (5/1/2016 – 9/7/2024)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Stella (FKA Dream, sister to Dani FKA Drama). Stella’s Gotcha Day was November 30, 2017. That was the day she made us a family and taught us how to be parents. She captured our hearts the moment we met, who could resist those soulful eyes? Stella had a unique personality that made us love her to the moon and back. She was resourceful, mischievous, smart, happy, and loveable. We formed a bond and connection that was hard to describe. She was truly and member of our family and went everywhere with us. She had many loves including rides in the car, hikes, sunning herself, snuggling like a lapdog, treats and all the people and other animals she was fortunate to meet. She was the star of the neighborhood. Everyone remembered her name and loved to give her pets, which she adored. We always said we thought she knew the entire English language because she would insert her little grumbles into our conversations at the exact right time. We loved her with all our hearts. She was the absolute best and her sudden passing has left us heartbroken. Stella will always be with us, will never be forgotten and will WAG forever.
To us Stella was a Dream.
Until we meet again Over the Rainbow Bridge.
