General information
TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR DOGS/PUPPIES: Go to http://www.deathrowdoggies.org and click on the ADOPTION link. There you will find an application. Download it, fill that out and email it to use and someone will be in touch with you soon. The fee to adopt a dog or puppy from our rescue is $175 in state, $200 out of state. That includes full vetting (all vaccines, rabies, heart worm test, f***l and spay or neuter). OF NOTE: Death Row Doggies is not in any way affiliated with the City of Dresden or the Dresden Pound. We post photos of the pound dogs to help the dogs. Adoptions of dogs at the pound is between the adopter and City. We will assist you in any way we can, but if we are not prompt enough in getting you the help you are looking for, please contact the City of Dresden directly. We created this page to bring awareness of the pound and the dogs available there. Before we created this page, and possibly still today, many folks who have lived in Dresden all their life had no idea we even have a pound! If interested in adopting a dog from the Dresden Pound, please contact them directly at 731.364.2270. Ask for Ricky Bailey and if he is not in, leave a message and he will return your call at his earliest convenience -- which may not be until the following day. If the situation is urgent (i.e., it involved saving a dog who is scheduled to be put down) and you are afraid Ricky may not get your message in time, feel free to call us and we will try to reach him on his cell at our earliest convenience. Remember, however, that we work regular jobs, so we are not always available to assist you immediately. We will, however, do our very best to assist you in a timely manner, and to get back to you as quickly as we can either by phone or here on Facebook. Feel free to text us, as well at 731.514.2005. When contacting the City of Dresden about one of the dogs at the Dresden Pound, please do not refer to the dogs by the names we have assigned them on here. Those names are only for our identification of the dog if you contact us to inquire about the dog. The staff at the pound will only know the dog by their description, and even that is questionable at times (we had contacted them about a black lab that was there the previous day that we were going to pull, and when we arrived the lab was no longer there -- the dog they thought we were talking about was a shepher mix and looked nothing like a lab.) TO VIEW OR ADOPT ONE OF THE DOGS/PUPPIES SHOWN AT A POUND OR SHELTER: Please contact the pound or shelter where the dog/puppy is located. (A list of phone numbers for various pounds and shelters throughout Weakley County can be found under the NOTES link on this page.) Note: We can pull a dog from the pound for you if you would like.

Donations can also be made on our behalf directly to our vet, which allows us to pay for vet care/vaccines such as rabies/spays and neuters, etc. Our primary vet is Dr. Mike Neal in Paris, TN. His phone number is 731-642-2263. Business Hours: Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. , Saturday 8-noon. Our home health veterinarian is Debbie Reynolds, DVM. She makes house calls and treats our animals onsite. Her number is 731-514-0797. Dr. Reynolds has Paypal as well -- and donations can be made on our behalf to her Paypal address as well.
