Trixie deciding if we take this curb alert. She decided soft pass for now. #sniffari #forcefree #looseleashwalking #cookiepusher #dominanceisdead #freecouch
Peanut butter not quite empty so I made sammies to give Trixie empty jar!

Thanks neighbor for crossing the street with your dog so our reactive dogs could have more distance from each other! #reactivedog #sniffari #forcefree #dogsofla #dogsofglendale #dogtrainerlosangeles
Trixie stalking squirrel. Feeling like David Attenborough over here. No squirrel was harmed. I was worried for the squirrel hanging out far from the tree but squirrel ran through a fence when Trixie got close. #dogenrichment #dogs #forcefree #dogsoflosangeles #dogtrainerla
Napping with Trixie, the absolute best. Trixie does. not always want to cosleep but I sleep that much sounder when she does! Do you nap with your dog? #dog #dognap #dogdad #nap
Mat target training with Horton and Zula! Horton’s mat is on the floor. Zula’s “mat” is the couch. Sending these dogs to places helps keep everyone safe as the baby in the family gets more mobile. Here we’re building on progress made by Horton’s and Zula’s amazing person!
Sending Zula and Horton to different places prevents arguments over treats. Zula has learned that Horton getting a treat predicts Zula getting a treat, which has also made for a lot less arguments between the two.

Trixie raided the trash for this aluminum foil. Yes, I’m gonna remember to close the trash next time. Sure makes me happy tho to see her feeling brave enough to jump up on the wobbly trash can! #forcefree #bravedog #fearfuldog #dogsarescavengers #dogsofinstagram
Tossing bits of Parmesan for our Bean and watching amazing Olympics breaking replay. Toddler watching car wash videos behind me with plenty of space from Trixie when they both need it. Happy Friday! #dogplustoddler #parenting #cookiepusher #dogenrichment #forcefree #dogtrainer #dogtrainerlosangeles #dog #dogsofinstagram #dogdad #dadlife
I often just grab treats for me and for Trixie right before we head out. Makes it easier to remember to take a snack for myself if I grab the same dog-safe treats for both of us. Tear tiny pieces of string cheese off as needed during walk. Voila! #dog #dogtraining #dogs #forcefree #forcefreedogtraining #dogslosangeles #dogtrainerlosangeles #dogtrainer #busydogdad
Virtual training session with Miguel and Dante! I love letting clients know what they’re doing awesome at. Coco is our toddler’s most watched movie so I’ve seen it a few times 🤣
Giving Trixie an easy puzzle she can have fun solving now! Enrichment is not a test to see what colleges Trixie should apply to. Love seeing Trixie trot off with her prize.
You and your dog deserve support from a qualified trainer!
I realized today that some thoughts had been holding me back from taking care of myself when I’m sick. And those same thoughts had slowed me down earlier seeking support with our dog Trixie.
If you sometimes get stuck on asking for help, this is so human! I can relate. If you and your dog are having a hard time and you’d like support, you are both so worth it!
Comment HELP or DM if you’d like support. I’d love to help!

Our toddler giving Trixie a treat puzzle! The toddler (turns 3 in October) says “let’s make a puzzle for Trixie”. The toddler and me put treats and towels in the Cheerios box. Here the toddler is pushing treat puzzle across No-Man’s Land aka No-Beans-Land toward Trixie.
Trixie and toddler are often in the same space. And Trixie and toddler both get space away from each other when they want it. And when I can’t supervise actively. Two baby gates = two layers of separation = safety for the two Beans.
Makes me so happy to see our two Beans connecting + building up positive experiences like this.
Too scary hot to go outside with your dog? Nearly empty peanut butter jar is a Trixie-approved entertainment option!
Trixie enjoying diy treat puzzle the toddler made!
The toddler saw a plate of cheese and said “let’s make a puzzle for Trixie”. And then we did ❤️❤️❤️
Y’all. Dog enrichment can really be as simple as tossing treats in an empty egg carton. That’s it. Tonight I have a bit of the Sunday Scaries. Instead of doom scrolling I made Trixie this and enjoy watching her eviscerate it. Win win!
Nearly empty peanut butter jar equals free and easy enrichment for Trixie!
