We're always on the lookout for better, safer, natural treatment options for our patients, and we're thrilled to offer Regenaflex-K9 as one of these options for our four-legged friends! 🐾🐶

This injectable product is packed with exosomes, growth factors, and cytokines that help reduce inflammation, promote healing, and minimize scarring – all helping your pup feel their best! 🏃‍♂️🐕

Over the past 4 months of using Regenaflex-K9, we've been seeing amazing results: agility dogs are running better, injuries are healing quicker, and our arthritic seniors are regaining their comfort, mobility, and spark. 🌟 The best part? Our AVT and ECO clients are So. Amazing. See below - a THIRD truck will soon be on its way to NC. Please see below for details and requests. Thank you all!!!

We are overwhelmed with gratitude with how much you all have donated for the victims of Hurricane Helene. We did not anticipate the volume of donations that we’ve received.

Dr. Safford and her husband, Adam, found a THIRD truck to haul the surplus that wouldn’t fit in the first two trucks. But we need your help again.

We will be packing boxes and loading the third truck at 4pm at our clinic, at 123 Weisheit Rd Glenmont, NY. We are looking for donations of empty cardboard boxes, shrink wrap, and box tape. If anyone is available to volunteer an hour to pack and load, we’d be very grateful too! Lastly, since gas is over $1000 per truck for each trip, we would gladly accept cash donations for the drivers. Dr. Safford’s Venmo is https://venmo.com/u/Jennifer-Safford-1 Last 4 digits are 7175 and she will make sure the drivers receive donations.

Thank you all for your generosity! Here’s a small fraction of what came in. The stalls were all full too. You are all amazing!

🐾 Did you know a rehab/fitness routine can be crucial for puppies too?

Lumbar kyphosis, quite common with young, very active dogs, can be caused by an imbalance of their core and abdominal musculature vs their lumbar and gluteal musculature. This imbalance leads to a propensity to a mildly tucked/arched/hunched posture known as lumbar kyphosis.

If this imbalance is left uncorrected, it can increase risk of injury to the patient’s underlying structures including shoulders, spine, knees, iliopsoas musculature, and more.

Check out Lila’s great improvement after following a personalized exercise program during her development!

🐾 Did you know? 🐾

Properly trimmed nails can do wonders for your companion’s comfort! 🐕🐈 Not only do they improve traction, but they also reduce stress on tendons, ligaments, and other limb structures. In the long run, this helps prevent arthritis and keeps your companion happy and healthy! 🦴✨

Therapeutic nail trims are an essential part of their long-term care plan. AVT would love to help keep those paws feeling their best! 🐾💅

Improving movement not only helps build strength, but it can also improve confidence! Proper gaiting can lead to a better balanced and supported structure as well. Did you know that underwater treadmill can help with that?? Here you can see two videos of Rez, and what a difference teaching proper gaiting can make. In the first video, Rez has a pacing gait and is visibly stressed. Pacing is a two-beat gait where the limbs on the same side move in unison, alternating the left and right sides. Pacing is not a desired gait in dogs. It can be a sign of fatigue, stress, weakness or lack of physical condition. After weeks of hard work and consistency put in by Rez and his care team, we were able to improve his gaiting. In the second video, Rez has a trotting gait and appears much more confident. Trotting is also a two-beat gait. The front and rear limbs on the opposite side move in unison and the movement appears to have a bounce. Trotting is a more efficient and desired gait. The dog's body weight is more evenly distributed, and it is an ideal gait for conditioning. Give us a shout if your dog could use some help with improving their gait!

Drax is a working dog who competes in protection sports. He visits AVT rehab routinely to keep his athleticism and conditioning top notch. Here he is working on an advanced exercise to target his adductors, stabilizers and core muscle groups. He is balancing with his front feet on one single paw pod and his rear feet on another single paw pod. This is tough work!!! Way to go, Drax!!

Did you know acupuncture can be performed with more than just your traditional needling approach? Here at AVT, we also offer laser acupuncture, combining the benefits of photobiomodulation with the ancient practice of acupuncture to help your furry friends!
