Uhlan Standard Schnauzers began over 70 years ago with Mary Schofield, passed to Risë Quay, and now passed on to me.

It’s a sad day in dog training Karen Pryor died at the age of 92
She was world famous for animal training and dog training specifically. She wrote many books about clicker training, my first one I read by her was this I bought this in 2002. If you are looking for a good read try “the other end of the leash” that is another favorite of mine. Rest in peace my hero.

I frequently recommend this brand and other freeze dried raw foods.
Freeze drying does not kill the bird flu virus.
Cats appear to be more susceptible than dogs. Sick cats and dogs it’s presumed can pass the virus to people.

So for now I’m not feeding any raw food frozen, freeze dried, or otherwise. I will be making instant pot food to top kibble with if anyone is interested I can share recipes. The high temp and pressure does kill the virus.

A voluntary recall was issued for a line of raw and frozen pet food after a cat died of bird flu.

Olive in 4-6 month puppy competition in IL. No points on the line but it’s fabulous practice for dog shows. Olive and her mama Amy L Harrison-wimann earned a group 2 out of 7 puppies today 🎉

When Ivan was a baby - he has an amazing herding instinct. The puppies for the most part were all interested, not scared, had working potential. But Ivan knocked it out of the park.
