Updated pictures coming soon. He is more fit now.

Show Male Available: Tik Tok

We brought Tik Tok into our program December 4, 2023. He is a beautiful black tricolor boy. He was wicketed in January at 14.25", so he's a 15" variety. We are looking for a show home for Tik Tok potentially on a co-own. Tik Tok has shown in AKC events and does well. Could easily finish in both AKC and UKC with the right person showing him. His sire is out of CH show lines and his dam is a mix of show and very little field. She is a UKC Performance Pack CH. Embark DNA health tested and started on OFAs. He can finish his CHIC testing Oct at the earliest. Tik Tok gets along well with our other beagles and does good indoors and outdoors. Does not do good with outdoor cats as he will chase and tree them. Indoor cats he's fine with. Crate trained. If he eats or drinks a lot during travel he will get car sick, limit how much he consumes.

Included with Tik Tok’s rehoming:

- Wellness exam
- Vaccinations up to date if needed (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies)
- Rabies certificate
- Heartworm/Flea/tick preventive given up to date
- Leash and collar or slip lead
- Pet home or show/co-own contract
- Some of his current food
- AKC and any other registration paperwork including Embark DNA health testing, OFAs etc.

Local pick up is in Golden City,MO willing to travel depending on distance, date etc. Tik Tok is available to leave at any time. He is not neutered. If interested in bringing Tik Tok into your home as a pet or show male feel free to reach out or fill out an application. I will be picky about the show home I choose for him. We still want to be able to use him as a stud but we just have too many males right now to house him here.

New pictures to come soon when the weather is not 100° outside.

Retired Adult: Moka

We took Moka back on June 22, 2024. She’s a beautiful 6yo Chocolate Tricolor with Ticking, some people would call her a redtick but that's inaccurate. She weighs about 40-45lbs which is way over what a 15" beagle should weigh however she is 3.5 months post a litter she whelped this spring in Florida. Moka has been doing good and slowly losing weight but it will take time to get her back where she should be. Moka is a very sweet dog. She is very loving with people. She’s good with other dogs although she can get a little rough with playing or becoming dominant. I do not know how she'd do with cats as she will chase the barn cats. Moka does good on a leash although she does pull a bit so we've been working with that as well. She does good in a crate. Moka is not fully potty trained. She is used to being rotated indoors and outdoors or outdoors only.

Included with Moka’s rehoming:

- Wellness exam
- Vaccinations up to date if needed (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies)
- Rabies certificate
- Heartworm/Flea/tick preventive given up to date
- Leash and collar or slip lead
- Pet home contract
- Some of her current food
- AKC and any other registration paperwork including Embark DNA health testing

Local pick up is in Golden City,MO willing to travel depending on distance, date etc. Moka is available to leave at any time. She is not spayed but will be placed on a spay contract. Moka also has a fatty benign tumor on the underside of her tail our repro vet check out. It does not affect her and there's no fluid or growth. If interested in bringing Moka home feel free to reach out or fill out an application. Rehoming fee does apply. I will also be updating my website here hopefully starting today.

We've had a lot go on this last week that have unfortunately made us re-evaluate what we want for our program.

I will have a few adults available for pets or show/breeding homes with the right families. This was not a decision taken lightly and one I will be very picky about the homes I choose for.

More info and pictures to come over the next couple of days

What an evening. Update Lana's owner about our plan changes with just all drop offs being in Omaha. We've been in contact with Lana's family for the past week but they didn't decide to bring her home until just a couple days ago. Due to a main water leak in their apartment they aren't able to take her. We are in no hurry to find her a home. The perfect one will come along.

But we do have our upcoming trips once again Nebraska June 17, Alabama June 22 and Oklahoma potentially June 25-30.

A deposit will be required before holding. We are asking a reasonable rehoming fee. More info can be discussed through pm or an application through GoodDog 😊

Edit 1: If there are enough majors June 25-30 I will take Maurice to Oklahoma City to show.

Due to no fault of his own the little lemon male has become available. Rabies, health check and health certificate done today. The health certificate can easily be redone.
Again I will be going to Omaha, Nebraska on Monday June 17th. I can go further potentially. On June 22nd I will be traveling to Huntsville, Alabama, which I can potentially go further. Please message for more info about transport or any questions or concerns about him.

Lana is still looking for that perfect family to call hers. We've had a few inquiries on her but no one that's been serious.
Lana is a very sweet girl once she transitions to her environment. She is potty trained and has minimal to zero accidents when she is kept to a schedule. At times she can be shy on a leash at first but is great afterwards. She would enjoy a home with someone that is home all that time or can spend a lot of time with her. She gets along well with children as her breeder has 3 children and she's been around our cousins. Any home setting with a family, young couple, or retired family would suit her fine. She gets along with other dogs.
Lana is up to date on all vaccinations including rabies, dewormer, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She is available to leave at any time on a spay contract. She is a pet only.
Lana is fully DNA health tested including OFA CHIC.

*She does have this fluid bump that appears to be a benign tumor but we'll have our vet recheck that before leaving as well. It hasn't grown at all since she's been here. She's had it for years and it doesn't seem to bother her from her time here or when she lived with her breeder. Lana's breeder has approved rehoming*

If you are interested in bringing Lana into your home, please send a pm or send an application through GoodDog

I have one little lemon male left who is 13.5 weeks old. He is AKC registered. Expected to be 13" tall and around 20lbs although not always guaranteed. Scheduling his next vet appt for rabies and health certificate. Completed on all other puppy vaccinations. Up to date on dewormer, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

We have been working with crate training and he has been doing excellent. Potty training has been going well with minimal to zero accidents. Has started with leash training but still learning. Great with nail trims.

Puppy pack includes a folder all health records, health testing, 5 gen pedigree, limited AKC registration, some pads, blanket, toy, collar/leash, food, etc.

Sometimes breeding plans don't work out the way you want it to either. Sapphire was to be bred and AI'd to Sawyer this week but due to some complications it just wasn't going to happen.
Thank you Willow Bark Beagles for being willing to stud out Leroy who is Blossom's older littermate and a great grandson of Sawyer to make this litter happen. Still a win-win. Wednesday night immediately picking her up from our repro vet we drove 6.5hrs to Canton, TX to their repro vet. Sapphire had already gone through ovulation for normal breeding or AI but we still had one option left. Progesterone Thursday showed she still wasn't ready for surgical AI but she was today. This is the first surgical AI we've ever done.
Surgical AI involves general anesthetic and surgery. An incision is made into the abdomen, the uterus is then identified and exteriorized. The semen is then injected directly into the uterine horns to better fertilize the eggs.
Litter T will arrive at or around July 26.

Modern-day Beagles are thought to have descended from Talbot Hounds, large white scenthounds that accompanied William the Conqueror into Britain during the 11th century. Another now-extinct breed that may have contributed some DNA is the Irish Kerry beagle, small black-and-tan dogs similar to Bloodhounds.

The name Beagle first appeared in English literature in 1475. It was mentioned in the works of no lesser literary lights than Chaucer and Shakespeare. “She’s a beagle, true-bred, and one that adores me,” says Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night.🐕

18/05/2024

This was the hardest loss I think I have ever endured as I sit here crying, typing this. Sweet Pea was born a few days early herself. I have worked tirelessly for 12 weeks. We thought we got over the hurdles and the battles she has gone through.

Sweet Pea got sick often after birth and over the littlest of things. We'd take a good step forward and two steps back almost every other week. Her immune system never seemed to help her thrive. We have done multiple vet visits, antibiotics, fluids, supplements etc,. Everything we could do possible we tried and the one thing she passed from is devastating and breaks my heart.

Wednesday I had to take my grandfather to his appt for hip surgery so that the rest of the family could stay for grandma who just had knee surgery (crazy surgery week, I know). Puppies are allowed to play freely in the garage in their playpen or outside in a playpen. They had plenty of water and food throughout the day. So nothing seemed odd that they had bigger bellies from everything they had. The only strange thing was how tired Sweet Pea had gotten. So tired that even when carried she fell back asleep. Our family put it off as maybe she just played really hard and just needed sleep. All of the puppies slept all night. Mom checked on them early that morning around 8am and everyone was fine, still full from the night before they didn't want water or breakfast yet.

I was finally able to come home around 12pm to rest after my overnight stay at the hospital and my first thing I always do when I get home, wake up, go to bed etc is greet Sweet Pea. I called her.... Nothing. She didn't even come up to the door in her crate (crate training). I opened the crate to find out that my little girl had passed.

Sweet Pea meant everything to me. She was the most special little singleton I've ever raised. Whether she was going to be a future mom or a wonderful pet she was going to stay by my side. The heartbreak of not being able to say goodbye or snuggle with her literally crushed me to the core.
In my mind I'm thinking, how can I continue on like this after the week I've had? Why do we breeders go through such hardships like this trying and trying to do everything right to save that one and it's taken away from us? I know that in spirit she'll come back to me with another puppy but even though her sweet life may be done on earth, surely she was called home for a little child in need. I have to think about the positives and not the negatives of what I could've kept doing or blaming myself etc. I need to focus on her memories and how she brightened our lives.

We had a necropsy done at the vet just to truly have answers to make it a little easier. For those that don't know the term, a necropsy is basically an autopsy for animals. I called the vet this morning for my results. Sweet Pea passed from a twisted stomach and became septic quick. This is very uncommon in puppies, usually only ever seen in adults and bigger dogs. The cause of this happening in a puppy is unknown, but it is presumably caused from drinking or eating too quickly.

So breeders and owners. To avoid this heartbreak as best as you can please keep watch of how fast their intake is. Puppies may need to be limited or scheduled on how much water to drink at a time and may need a slow feeder while eating. I will be watching my babies even more closely from now on.

I will always love and cherish you Sweet Pea 🪽❤️

18/05/2024

It has been such a difficult and stressful week for our family and program.

Being a breeder is not all sunshine and roses. It's not for the faint of heart. We are ridiculed and criticized for what we do and that we always make money at this and that's all we care about. Let me tell you something.

This x-ray was done May 10. This x-ray was to be our next litter. We confirmed ultrasound a few weeks back but couldn't count. The vet counted 9 puppies. We haven't had a litter this big since 2021. We were super excited to welcome this litter into the world hopefully about 5 days from this x-ray so around last Wednesday. However, that didn't go to plan. Our girl decided to go into labor that evening. It was a struggle and not an easy labor. Due to that struggle we realized with our repro vet that something wasn't right. These puppies were tiny, too underdeveloped.
Out of 9, 7 survived at time of birth. Our repro vet has been checking in since with us. These babies were born at 3-4oz. Beagle puppies are normally at least in our litters in other litters seen with other breeders 6-8oz sometimes bigger (10oz+).

Our family worked tirelessly for the past week to help supplement these tiny babies on a heating pad regularly monitored, fluids, colostrum and formula, cleaning them, etc every hr. However, our vet has determined they were just too tiny and underdeveloped to survive. We have lost the entire litter.

Can you imagine the heartbreak us breeders feel when we lose a puppy let alone an entire litter of puppies? Not only are we heartbroken but Lilli's owners are just as heartbroken. Some of these puppies had potential homes lined up.

We still have vet bills to pay for what we've done with this litter and Lilli. Can't just call them up and say "Hey, we lost the litter and Lilli isn't taking it well so cancel our bill because we won't be making money and if we aren't making money you aren't getting paid". It doesn't work that way in life with a pet or breeding. Unexpected things happen in breeding. This is one of them.

I had so many fun things planned with this litter. I am happy I got to have them for just a short while and love on them the best I could. They will be forever missed but they were called home for something greater. Until we meet again little ones.

So please understand that nothing is all perfect in a breeder's program and put yourself in our shoes. We all take losses and we push through the best we can together.

Happy Birthday to one of my favorite Beagles. Who knew 3yrs ago I would bring in such a beagle with an amazing personality and temperament that was beautiful all around. Lana is looking for a couch to call her own. She has a very sweet personality. She is on a schedule with us so she is potty trained and does well on a leash. Pending a spay appt before she leaves. Lana would be good for a family with kids, an active couple or even a retired couple. She can be the only dog or have 1 other dog in the household. I wouldn't push it with more than 2. Up to date on all vaccinations, dewormer, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
