The Pet of the Week this week is Simon! Simon is a senior yorkie who loves nothing more than to take a good nap on your lap. His favorite past times are eating treats, “working” outside in the yard with his momma and snuggling on the couch. He’s a sweet boy with a lot of personality in such a small body!

This week’s Pet of the Week is Cooper! Cooper is a rescued tripawd Mastiff! While we know he’s adorable, he’s also just as kind hearted and loves to have a great time. He doesn’t let his lack of a limb get him down, and you shouldn’t let your challenges ruin your day either! Be like Cooper!

Late to the party, the pet of the week for October 3-9 is Luke! Luke is a young scarlet macaw who is as playful as he is handsome. He is shy and reserved, and so very loved!

Pet of the Week: Wyatt! Wyatt is a beautiful African Grey parrot who is a total flirt. He loves to smooch and makes fun call and response noises with his brother, Riley. I love hearing his little personality shine when I get to spend time with him!

The Pet of the Week this week is Emily! Emmy loves to talk to me when I am blessed to spend time with her. She loves to tell me hello as often as she can to remind me that she’s there, she knows I’m there and she’s ready to talk about the day. Best little listener!

Pet of the Week: Abby! Abby is a senior Pomeranian who had a tough start. She’s finally found her forever family and she sure lucked out with some great people! I love miss Abby and she loves my tiny massages and ear rubs. She is less enthusiastic about getting her daily meds, but I try to make up for it with snuggles!

Hello! I’m Amanda, the face of Cypress Hollow.

Ever since I was a small child, I’ve had a passion for animal welfare. My passion has led me to a career in veterinary medicine that I absolutely cherish. I’ve had a career in veterinary medicine for the last decade, and enjoy what I do immensely. Currently, I work as an ER/ICU technician. While this work is challenging, and rewarding, I often miss seeing patients from babies to adulthood as I did when I worked in a preventive care practice (vaccines, annuals, etc). The best part about pet sitting for me is the ability to form a lifelong relationship with my clients and their pets. It fills that void, and refills my cup!

This picture is a perfect reflection of this relationship, it shows my sweet friend Maxi and I. I have watched this family’s pets for going on 9 years now, and have had the absolute pleasure of meeting their new additions, and the honor of being with them as we said our goodbyes to beloved pets.

I treasure the fact that this family trusts me with their babies, and place great importance on the fact that I can provide them with comfort and peace-of-mind when they need to leave home.

I know how hard it is to leave your furry (or scaled/hoofed/feathered) family members in someone else’s care while you’re away. My goal is to treat your home and pets with the level of care, love and compassion that you yourself would. I pride myself on the knowledge that I can ease your fears while you are away by providing daily updates with pictures and videos so you can physically see how everyone is doing.

I look forward to providing you with this quality care in the future.

We started an Instagram to share pictures of our friends’ staycations while their humans are away. Pictures are shared on our Insta at random times, to ensure privacy. All pets posted are with explicit permission from their humans. Go give us a like and a follow!
