Well…. I’m pretty sure this is happening…
4.7 acres. Off grid. Has pads already set and leveled… rock dirt pads. There are 5 of them. One of the stipulations of purchasing this property, is that we have to board horses (I’m pretty sure it’s because of the AG loan that was originally obtained to buy the land).
Well, one of the few people we know here in Arizona is a horse rescuer. So our goal is to put the horse(s) on the south side of the property, with their own barn and area.
I want to start a greenhouse. I want chickens. I want to minimize our expenses, and just focus on animals and my personal happiness.
Our goal is to board animals to pay for the rescue work. I want to specialize in medical cases, pregnant mommas that are going to be put down, just given birth and babies, and the dogs that have been there the longest. We are currently deciding the layout of the property. We know the whole property needs fenced. We have free roam cows up there. And a ton of cow p**p on the property. So, as much as my dogs love other random animals, like cows, I don’t know how they will do with random cows. They will get used to it, but I’m taking city dogs to the country.
What I’m excited for is being able to eat our dogs out and not worrying about the barking, and them playing rough, and just being dogs. We take them to the dog park and they are having a dang blast. Well now, it’s going to be a lifelong dream. They will eventually have a pool. They will have tons of things to do!!!
I’m going to plant trees. Already looked up what kind of trees to plants that I can put around the property. We do have rain washes. And while it doesn’t rain that often here in Arizona, it flash floods when it happens. So I want to protect from erosion.
Right now my mind is spinning. I will tell you that we will be looking for volunteers to come help us get things up and moving!! So if anyone wants to run away, let us know!
