Update: they came home! MISSING DOGS 2 Golden Retrievers: We had someone open our gate and accidentally let dogs out this morning. 2 Golden Retrievers are still missing. I've talked with the person but as a PSA: PLEASE DO NOT OPEN MY GATE. It doesn't matter if it is unlocked, if it's closed, don't open it. Even if it's open, please don't come down my driveway without an appointment. We are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. These 2 dogs, Maple and Treasure, are pretty new to us and they are not wearing collars. Who remembers our handsome friend Gobey? He came back to visit and play this week. It's always so fun to see dogs that have been adopted from the sanctuary again.

It was suggested that I post a fundraising goal for people to follow. Our goal is $300 to cover her spay and other care. I will try to update the goal daily.

Say hello to Sweetie, she is the newest member of our Sanctuary's pack.

Past- Sweetie was running loose in Goldendale and was hit by a car last weekend. Even with a hurt leg and not being full speed it took a group of good Samaritans to capture her and get her to Mid Columbia Veterinary Clinic who then contacted our sanctuary. Sweetie was understandably very scared and nervous after a rough weekend so she was showing some fearful aggression.

Present- It took awhile for her to warm up enough to come out of her kennel but with some patience and persistence we were able to do a temperament evaluation and after completing some health tests and being brought UTD on vaccinations we brought her home to the sanctuary with us. Sweetie is doing wonderful with other dogs and is gaining confidence quickly.

Future- Sweetie is going to need some time to decompress before we know the extent of her needs but at a minimum she needs to get stronger and put on some weight and will also need an abundance of attention, love and training and will need to be spayed.

We are privately funded by Elyse's Doggy Daycare, Boarding, Training and Grooming and our supporters. Donations are always extremely helpful and very much appreciated. 100% of every donation goes directly to the dogs and the Sanctuary expenses. We don't collect any salary.

We had some time to kill today so we brought some of the gang to the park. There were plenty of distractions with kids soccer practice going on, cars coming and going, also horses and other dogs around. These guys (almost) always make me so proud. They kept their attention on me, walked loosely on the leash and posed for a photo. I'm not as grumpy as I look, I was having a good time but the ☀️ was shining in my blue eyes.

We added 3 kittens to our family yesterday. They are already well on their way to becoming part of the pack (and having a case of species confusion) 😆

Who could resist this sweet face? Alfie is still looking for her forever home. She is super sweet and very smart. She loves kids and enjoys playing with other dogs, especially big ones. She is 1-1.5 years old and 35lbs. We think she is a Kelpie/Kelpie mix. Alfie was ditched by her last home so she is longing for one that will give her stability, attention and lots of love. Please reach out if you think she could be a good fit in your home, she'd love to meet you!

Please Share this post, these girls deserve a chance in a loving home! They are shy and submissive, but very sweet and affectionate once they feel safe. They are 35 lbs and one year to 1.5 year old. We believe they are Australian Kelpies.They are good with medium to large dogs and great with kids. They will make someone a wonderful companion. They're utd on their vaccinations and dewormer. They will need to be kept in a place with a secure floor when they aren't being supervised.

Looking for a wonderful medium sized dog...or maybe 2? These sweet girls (sisters?) are roughly 1 yr old and 35 lbs. They had their vet checkup and vaccinations yesterday. They are happy, healthy and affectionate dogs. We believe they are Australian Kelpies or kelpie mixes. We'd love to hear from you if you are interested in adopting 1 or both of these darling girls.

Pupdate: She has been adopted. 💜
One last puppy looking for a home!
Mama was spayed last week and went to her wonderful new home today. We are over-the-moon happy for her and her new family. She has a new basket of toys waiting for her when she arrives and she's going to be so thrilled.
This puppy needs to find her forever home too before we get too attached to let her go! She's 9 weeks old and has her first shots and dewormer through the vet. She's Embark DNA tested. 71% German Shepherd, 29% American Bully and clear on all genetic health conditions. Give us a call today to learn more about adopting her

Pupdate: All pups have found homes.💜
These pups are 50% German Shepherd and 50% golden retriever. DNA tested and clear of 275 genetic conditions. They are a healthy, happy and laid back crew. They are 6 weeks old today. They are scheduled to receive vaccines, dewormer and vet examinations on July 16th and will be available to go to new homes on Aug 17th.
