Stop by Tractor Supply in Mt. Olive on Saturday from 12 to 2 pm to see these adoptable cuties.
The mission of Diamonds in the Ruff Canine Rescue is to find healthy, loving, lifelong homes for dogs already born into this world.
www.facebook.com/diamondsintheruffNC Diamonds in the Ruff Canine Rescue is a group of volunteer dog lovers that rescue, provide sanctuary and ultimately re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. We are located in Goldsboro, North Carolina. 501c3 since April of 2007. We rescue dogs from our local animal shelter or off the streets and give them a chance to find a forever, loving home. We believe
in taking care of the existing dogs and puppies instead of supporting breeding that most often results in suffering and homeless animals.
Stop by Tractor Supply in Mt. Olive on Saturday from 12 to 2 pm to see these adoptable cuties.
Gracie is back!
She is 8 years old and weighs 10 lbs. Gracie loves, loves, loves a ball!
She is housetrained, crate trained and would be fine as an only dog. Gracie is great with some dogs and not so great with others. We don't know why. But she is a sweet, adorable little girl who loves her people. She is fine with children. If interested, put in an application on our website. Please read the adoption process and requirements first. www DITRNC.com

My name is Abby Cadabby!
I just don't understand why I'm still in a foster home! I think I'm really cute and I love to play. I'm housetrained and crate trained. Mom says I don't have to go back to the vet until next year! So I'm good there. Maybe I could be your Best Furever Friend!

Adoption Update!
Gracie has found her forever home in Kure Beach!
Gracie was one of the 11 dogs we rescued from a hoarding situation. She was the oldest Mama and in very bad shape. Filthy, full of fleas and a huge wound on her back.
Those days are behind her thanks to two people who have a heart for the older ones.
Scott and Joan adopted Liza in 2020 and Katie Bug in 2022. Liza was a stray and Katie was an elderly breeder dog left in a crate beside the road with two others. Katie was only with them a year but she was happy and loved in her last days and we are so appreciative of that.
Gracie is a dominant little old lady and was not easy. But Joan and Scott were patient and Gracie is behaving most of the time. đ
Mom says, "Thank you, DITR, for our 3rd rescue baby from you! Gracie was distrustful and occasionally a bit of a "brat" when we adopted her. Not surprising since she was the apparent matriarch of the pack in her previous filthy, hoarder home. She's since learned love, trust and belly rubs are the best! Gracie is super smart and quick on her feet, especially when retrieving her ball or favorite squeaky "Moose". She patiently waits her turn to eat and has a soft mouth with treats. She's transformed into a spunky beauty with a comical howl and goofy smile.
I'm including a few photos. It's a challenge to capture her true spirit in that curly, midnight black fur!
Thanks again for entrusting her with us!"
Thank you and bless you for taking care of these older babies! DITR
Come out and see us tomorrow!
We will be at Pet Supplies Plus, Saturday, June 22nd in Goldsboro from 1-3. We have some wonderful pups for adoption that would love some attention!
Adoption Update!
We saw this little girl peering out at us from the high weeds in one of the hoarding situations we were trying to help. Eventually, she came out to us, wagging her tail and rolling on her back, pleading for attention. She was in bad shape, covered in fleas and ticks, just like all the others. We were already overflowing but decided to take her too.
Snickerdoodle turned out to be such a love! And we were thrilled when she found her forever home.
Now Zoe, she loves to help her Mom run the barn at High view Farms. Zoe loves everyone! Horses, barn cats and especially her fur sister, Maggie. She greets everyone with a smile and a tail wag!
Mom says she loves Zoe's quiet, sweet demeanor and is so happy they have her.
Thank you, Christie and Randall, for adopting Zoe and giving her such a great life! DITR

Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our old man, Hero. It wasn't easy but we knew when we found him that he was older and not in great shape. He grew to love us and became protective over us. We knew he would never be adopted and that was ok.
But we loved him and he loved us for 18 months.
Yes, he could be cantankerous.
Yes, he had to wear a belly band.
Yes, he shed like crazy!
Yes, he had to be on medication.
No, it wasn't always easy.
We've had numerous dogs that have come to us as seniors. Some lasted a few years. Some only weeks.
But however long it was, we considered it a privilege to give a dog happiness, security and love in their last days. They deserve that kindness.
There are so many old dogs in shelters. Please consider adopting one and you will know the joy of giving them possibly the best days they've ever had, with no regret.
Hero's favorite thing was chasing the smaller dogs. He got a kick out of giving them a scare even though he would never hurt them. And I imagine that is what he's doing now, with gleeful abandon and pain free.
We MISS you, big guy! âĽď¸
Adoption Update!
We have rescued quite a few dogs from hoarding situations and Molly was one of them. She was in horrible shape and afraid because all she knew was being kept in a filthy environment with numerous other dogs.
Molly, now named Kaiju, is thriving in her forever home in Wilmington. Mom says, "She's doing so great! She is really happy. She does the cutest little howl now when she sees her leash come out for our walks.
We had her at my sister's place this weekend and some friends were there who haven't seen her since December. Everyone was commenting on how outgoing and happy she is.
Our little fluffy cat is obsessed with her! We love her so much! Thank you again for letting us adopt her!"
Thank you, Michelle and Dan, for adopting this little sweetheart and giving her such a great life!
