Kitten season is officially here! Join our Kitten Care 101 workshop to equip yourself with the skills to save kittens this season and help end animal suffering in Texas.

Whether you're a seasoned rescuer, new to kitten care, or just want to be more informed, this FREE workshop will cover essential skills like bottle-feeding, warming techniques, recognizing signs of illness, and more. Learn how to give vulnerable kittens the best chance at survival and become a hero for the tiniest lives in need!

This petite beauty had a rough start, but she’s ready to start this new year with a new you! She is very affectionate and oh so soft. She is curious and playful, and gets along well with others. Excellent kitty 10/10 would recommend! 😍

🐾 Exciting Update from the City of Gonzales Cat Shelter! 🐾

Last week, we had the incredible privilege of presenting our Annual Impact Report for the Gonzales Pet Adoption Center at City Council. This report highlights the life-saving programs we've launched, including:

✨ Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR): Helping reduce the stray cat population.

🏠 Foster Program: Meeting people in the community and growing our foster network by 100%

🚪 Shelter Diversion: Supporting pet owners to keep animals out of the shelter and educating people who find strays on what to do!

🐈 Launched a Barn Cat Program: Placing difficult to handle cats into barn homes so they could get out of the shelter into a forever home!

💉 Low-Cost Chip & Vaccine Clinics: Making essential care accessible to all.

🌟 Overall we brought into 377 cats and kittens off the streets of Gonzales and adopted out 250 fron Jan. 2024- Dec. 2024. 95 cats were TNVR'd and unfortunately we did not track the countless people who we helped get their cats fixed at a low cost. Either way - the impact is HUGE and we hope it put a dent on the cat population in Gonzales.

These initiatives represent our commitment to creating a better future for the animals in the city of Gonzales! As we wrap up our work at the Gonzales Pet Adoption Center, we’re excited to share that we will continue our life-saving mission with more announcements that are coming soon—stay tuned!

Meet Doug or "Dug"!

Dug is a beautiful, calico male kitten that was found in a neighborhood in Seguin, Texas right before the freezing temperatures hit across Texas. Thanks to his foster, Holly, who swept him off the street right in the knick of time!

Dug, named after the dog from the movie "UP" is just like a dog himself! He is super social, great with people, DOGS, and cats! He has received his first round of vaccines and will be rabies vaccinated and neutered this Wednesday!

KITTY FOSTERS NEEDED! 😺

We have several kittens coming back from foster this weekend through next week to prepare for their spay/neuter appointment. After spay/neuter recovery, it's off to the cat lounge for adoption!

If you are able to foster a kitten for 2-6 weeks, please PM us or text 830-333-9006. These are just short foster placements until the kittens go to the cat lounge where they are adopted!

Well Hello, Dolly!

Dolly is an amazing, sweet girl, but she is not doing well in a 4 cat household. We're pretty sure she was dumped at our house last month, because she was so clean. We took her in because of the weather, hoping she would fit in. It isn't working for her. While she's amazing with us and the kids, she is apprehensive of the other cats in the house. She needs to be the only cat, or maybe one of two (or 3 if not as crazy as ours) kitty babies. If you have it in your heart to bring her to your home, I'll take her to you. She's a wonderful girl, she just doesn't vibe with our four 4 legged crazies. ❤️ .

If I don't know you personally, there will be a background check and a fee.
