Since that post, we found a place to groom stationary for the summer! We’re finalizing everything next week. Right now we’re looking at grooming Wednesday-Saturday & taking Sunday-Tuesday off for other needs. We will be reopening our books to anyone that needs in during this time. Again, we will know more next week but just wanted to send out an update!

UPDATE: we have found a space to groom stationary Wednesday-Saturday & will be reopening our books to all!

Hey everyone, we went to thank you all for your support since we opened our doors back in January 2022. Our trailer is currently needing replaced, as well as some family care obligations. Due to these reasons, we are taking a step back & only grooming on Saturdays for the foreseeable future. These Saturday appointments will be reserved for our clients that have consistently maintained a 4, 6, or 8 week grooming schedule with us & I will be reaching out to them personally in the upcoming days. We apologize for any inconveniences but the well-being of family will always be our first priority. Any grooms already scheduled will go on as planned, or I will be reaching out to arrange a Saturday if there is a scheduling conflict.

We are out and about today! That being said- our generator isn’t loving the weather so if you have a standard extension cord for us to plug into, it would be great! We’re not bringing dogs into the unit til it is at least 65°F inside so it may take just a bit between longer drives to get back up to temp.

Hello everyone! We hope everyone had a great Christmas and here’s to a great 2024. We’re excited to see you all in the new year!

Here’s a couple FAQ we get regarding our services:

•Why is mobile priced differently?
With mobile we offer the convenience of grooming brought to you. Additionally, we have taken a whole grooming salon and put it on wheels. We have the maintenance of the vehicle, the trailer, brake systems, and generators to keep everything operational. Mobile is also harder on our tools. Humidity wears down our blades and if shears are dropped they can become damaged easily.

•What about winter weather?
Our mobile unit is heated and ready for the elements. Of course, when the windchill dips into the negatives we may need to additional time to warm the trailer after arriving at your location but we do have plans in place to provide a comfortable environment for grooming. We do have our salon as a backup.

•Where is the salon location?
Our salon location is located 4 miles east of Gowrie, making it a convenient option for both Gowrie and Dayton clients.

•What if I don’t see a date available in my area?
Message us! Most of the time we can find a time within a couple weeks to see your pets!

•Do you still groom cats?
We do! It is a less common service, but we offer haircuts and desheds to our feline friends as well.

•What about the dog virus?
We have several sanitization protocols in place for your pet’s safety! Mobile offers an additional level of safety due to its 1 on 1 nature to ensure your pet will not be in contact with others during their grooming experience.

•Can I switch to salon based services?
Absolutely! You are welcome to choose if mobile or salon is the best fit for you.

Happy one year to us 💙🐶 This has been an adventure and I’m so thankful to serve Gowrie. We have accomplished a lot this past year, from clients becoming friends and a bonus family, constantly looking for opportunities to improve through courses, competitions, and grooming shows, growing into our current location and soon expanding to mobile. Tidbit Thursday on vaccinations! Please bring in your records to your appointment or email them to [email protected] 🐾 Senior pets are very special to me & I love being able to bring them comfort for as long as possible. Let’s do our best to protect them 🐶

This little love bug met a striped friend 🦨 We are washing her because she already got a bath at home so we broke out our top deodorizing shampoos to help out! Don’t let the time lapse fool you- this was an hour and a half process 🫧 What to do if your pet is sprayed: avoid giving it a bath. Once the smell gets in the pores of the skin, your pet will have a faint skunk smell for months when it gets wet. Instead: spray with vinegar or come pick up a bottle of our SKUNKED spray!

We are an all inclusive grooming salon! This means if your dog needs it- we’re doing it & at no additional charge! We buy the best of the best- between combs, brushes, shampoos, conditioners, shears, etc. We know dog grooming is an investment for you as well but it is an investment into your dog’s health! Our grooms include: skin and coat assessment, custom skin and coat care, ear cleaning, nail trim, anal glands, deep conditioning treatment, and a report card & an accessory to go home with. If you stay on a 4-10 week schedule, you are probably seeing us more than your vet (hopefully!) This means that we are the first line of defense to make sure your pet doesn’t have anything noticeably concerning going on. We do skin and coat assessments on every dog & we know signs to look for that may warrant a vet visit. We are not vets, but both of our groomers are veterinary technicians so we may say “you might want to get this checked out” occasionally. Sam is Sam, RVT, RALAT, FFCP in her time away from the salon. Aeriel is an experience trained tech and has years experience with pets. We both keep an extra eye out for any potential issues & communicate it with you, the pet parent.

I love face transformations! Milo was SUCH a rockstar! Prep work makes the dream work! A proper groom prep makes or breaks the entire ‘do. My longest prep job to date was 3 hours. This doesn’t include even starting the haircut. Standout coats (poodles, doodles, bichons, etc) need to be straightened before their groom begins for the most even, flawless finish. What is “prep”? •Custom Coat Care Selection •Bath- even water direction, temperature, and pressure change the end result! •Pre-rinse brush- hair is most flexible when wet and with product in to minimize any discomfort and wave the hair soft & tangle free! •Deep Conditioning Treatment •Towel Dry •Drying with our specific grooming dryers-each coat type has a different pattern to dry them for best results. If done correctly, this will also straighten the standout coats for their haircut. •Brush/Fluffing- each coat type gets brushed differently as well! Fun fact: for doodles and fluffy dogs, it’s best to brush upwards. •Combing •Ear Cleaning •Nail Trim •Paw Pad Shave •Sanitary Trim •Anal Glands if needed Every groom, everytime & always included in your quoted price!
