It’s been a busy week! I was able to help 4 families choose a peaceful passing for their beloved pets, and with every single one I am thankful to be able to offer these services. If you have used my services and are moved to leave a google or yelp review, it would be greatly appreciated.

Today I euthanized 2 dogs. Both with cancer. Both far too young for the pain they were enduring. Both so supremely and clearly loved by their families. Both referred to me by other vets. Thank you for the referrals! It is everything to me to be able to offer a peaceful and meaningful goodbye. It is an honor to be invited to share in the process. It is a gift. If you have used my services and feel moved to write a review, it would mean a lot. Here or on yelp https://yelp.to/DuWLC9HPZV.

This is a hard one: I got Coal when I was 22, just out of college. We were soul mates. He was with me through dating to marriage to all 3 kids. When my husband and I used to fantasize about living on a houseboat after retirement I’d always say how much fun Coal would have. I knew it couldn’t happen but he was my FAMILY. I lost him to kidney disease and I still well up thinking about it. I was beyond fortunate to have Dr. Kim Freid and Marie Carol Lowery come to my house to help me say goodbye. In the grass where he always wanted to play but wasn’t allowed. I don’t know if there is another love like that out there for me.

Madeline: my girl. We lost Maddie after a slow neurological decline. We were so fortunate to have friends to support us in our in home euthanasia cause. I couldn’t euthanize my own animals, so a friend came to the house to help. She had biggest heart and most innocent soul that ever existed.

Meet Toast, a well loved hamster that developed a fast growing tumor. He loved lettuce and apples. He powered through, with good spirits and a good appetite, even as he lost the use of his hind end. No one wants to watch a loved one suffer, no matter how small. We were able to help Toast and his family say goodby with peace and dignity. 💜

So thankful for all the new followers! Please spread the word. Increasing availability will come with increasing consistency of bookings. I am hoping to post pet memorial photos and brief stories of patients as things get going. I’ll start with some of my own:

This is Oliver: He came to my family (which was only my husband and me, at the time) and he was the cutest sweetest man. He could carry 3-6 toys in his mouth and was not a fan of sharing. He was with us for 12 years. He developed 2 types of cancer simultaneously at 9. Surgery was a miracle worker for about 2 years until we started to see mobility issues as lymph nodes became enlarged and pressed on his nerves. We managed things for about a year until he could no longer stand. He was my first dog. He declined rapidly and had to be euthanized in hospital. I was there. A colleague performed the service for me. My only regret is that I would have wanted a more peaceful and personal goodbye. I love and miss you, Oliver.
