Tonight I had pain in my right hip, I went into hospital and they are sending me back for emergency surgery…I will be down 3-4 weeks is what I’m told…. Could use some prayers my way… I will be on two feet in a hurry… won’t let this hold me down! Appreciate your prayers…

I went to my first show ever at the West Virginia Taxidermy Association Competition to better improve my work for my clients and compete against the best taxidermist in the State and surrounding states to see where the cards fall. … I’d like to take the opportunity to express my appreciation for this competition and how truly blessed I was to be able to go to my very first competetion and be awarded the People’s Choice award for the Best bird in the entire competition… I also received a 2nd place Ribbon for 2nd place in the Professional division for the wild Turkey,,, literally 1 point short from 1st place…. Now back to the grind stone..

—ANNOUNCEMENT for Turkey season tomorrow —

First I’d like to announce that prior to this season I found a little bit of time and went into a very extensive Turkey training class and was able to mount this bird with hands down one of the best Turkey taxidermist that I’ve had the pleasure of being around —-Nathan Padgett —- this has by far took my commercial birds to a entirely new level, to turn out a better bird than I have ever done in my life… look at them lines son!!!! Big shout out to Nathan for helping me break through to a new level of Turkey taxidermy … it’s truly been a pleasure… to work aside and learn from one of the best in the buisness!! And I’m excited to be able to step up my game in this industry , I’m excited to get my heads back and start getting birds out the door!!!

Let me tell you some myths that are some bad ideas lol

DO NOT STEP ON A TURKEYS HEAD (WILL TEAR THE NECK FEATHERS OUT!!

DO NOT LET HIM FLOP ON THE GROUND AND OVER THE BANK LOL STICKS ROCKS ARE HARD ON THEM FEATHERS!!!

ONCE HE HAS EXPIRED GET A SANDWHICH BAGGIE ON HIS HEAD TUCK IT UNDER THE WING DOUBLE TRADH BAG HIM AND GET HIM TO THE FREEZER!!!!!

DO NOT LET THIS TURKEY SIT OUT IN THE SUN FOR HOURS OR DAYS IN THE BACK OF YOUR TRUCK…. MAKE A DECISION GET HIM TO THE FREEZER

ONCE IN THE FREEZER DO NOT HAVE HIS TAIL SMASHED OR BENT BY YOUR THANKSGIVING TURKEY MAN LOL

This cat has a story that seemed impossible! He was shot with a 7 mm a massive hole…. But with the help of the lord and some steady sowing…. We came out on top!!!!

ATTENTION

To all my Turkey customers of last year!!! We will have our freeze dryed heads back March 1st!! It delays me just a bit! Unfortunately I’m going to miss the Nashville show…. Due to not having them back… its a bummer i wanted to see some of you down there… but…. We will most defiantly be at our home state show this year!! I wanna see ya guys there!!!
Secondly keep in mind once the heads are here we will be mounting turkeys like it’s going out of style!!!!!!
Now remember this… a few things you never wanna do is substitute time for quality… our freeze dryer guy gives the most realistic head in the country so… it’s worth it to wait for him.. and another thing is you NEVER EVER EVER want to rush a taxidermist.. so with that.. I won’t be bugging my freeze dryer guy, he said March 1st that’s when we get them! I want the absloute best head he can throw at me so I can send you the absloute best bird I can throw at you!!! I’m excited for Turkey season!!! Send me pics of the upcoming season!!!

ATTENTION - there are some big things happening soon at our shop!

So shop will relocate this year— once finished we will do a grand opening and i wanna see you all there for hunting talk and coffee!! Come check out the new shop!!
