This chick of unknown s*x is getting a little puff on its head, like its momma! It's an Ameraucana/Crested Cream Legbar mix! I'll make a little video once its grown its crest and mom is done molting. "If" its a girl it will definitely lay blue eggs.

Harvested sunchokes. Tried one and it tastes like nothing with the texture of a raddish? Lol. Will cook them and see what the family thinks. They are very healthy and are in the sunflower family.

Meet Pumpkin!
I picked her up from a breeder friend yesterday. I set her up in a dog crate for the day to get her use to the girls in a "safe" place. Somehow she managed to squeeze through the wire bars. Shes petite but not that petite at 8 weeks!!The bars are less than 2 inches apart! I went to close the coop for the big girls to find her disappeared at dusk!!

I thought she was a goner for sure. This morning I see her walking around the backyard while the cat stalked her from the fence line.. Now she's inside with the days olds...lol. Darn trouble maker can stay in a couple weeks and baby sit.
