Good evening! Since Michigan has finally graced us with winter, and holiday gatherings are in full swing; I’d like to make a reminder: if you are sick, please stay home. I promise to get you back in as soon as you are feeling better!

In addition, there is a dog upper respiratory virus going around. Although there are currently no cases in Michigan as of now, I am doing my part on making sure everything is sanitized between appointments. If your pet is sick (runny nose, eye drainage, and a cough) please PLEASE cancel your appointment, as I have 5 pups of my own (yes, I know I’m crazy 😜🤪)

And a baby makes 5!

I wanted to introduce, Denver Joseph to my wonderful clients! He was born on Friday October 13 at 11:59am via C-section. Unfortunately, this little turd decided to stay breech. He and I are doing great!

If anyone has texted me at all and I haven’t responded: I’m not ignoring you! My wonderful iPhone got the “black screen of death” the morning of surgery. (Just my luck, right?). My new phone will be here next week!

Thank you to all my wonderful clients, who have checked in on us, gave me wonderful advice, and offering a helping hand. Give all your pups are good ol’ smooch and hug from me and of course Miss Hadley (who keeps asking when all her puppies are coming back to see her).

Hey there everyone! Sorry I’ve been MIA, yet again this past month and half. Our family has been experiencing some ups and some downs the past few weeks.

With all that said, I’ll like to start off by saying ✨I’m not longer accepting new clients✨. My current next availability is sometime in June. (If you have recently reached out to me regarding an appointment, you will be be granted an appointment). I’ve been really bad at making sure I am taking days off, and working 7 days a week for weeks on weeks.

Now let’s talk about some very serious business. My mom was recently diagnosed with Diastolic Heart Failure, as some of you may know. We don’t have much information regarding this scary diagnosis. We are waiting for an appointment at Cleveland clinic. With all that said, I might have to move some appointments around to be there to support my family in this time of need.

On a lighter note, our family is expanding by 10 little finger and 10 little toes. Matt and I were completely shocked when we found out earlier this year but we are very excited to welcome the new bundle of joy this October. As of right now I am planning to start my maternity leave sometime in September, but it’s not 100% yet. I highly recommend finding a secondary groomer for those appointments that will be missed. In addition, calling them very soon, as most places fill up fast!

I do plan on returning to groom at home before the holidays. I completely understand I might loose some of my clientele, but please know I love and care of you each one of you and your pets deeply ❤️

Did you know, February is dental month for pets?!

Why is dental care so important?

🦷 Preventing tooth loss. When the structures supporting a dog’s teeth become damaged or infected, the teeth loosen and fall out. Good dog dental care will ensure that those teeth-supporting structures stay healthy and keep the teeth in place.

🪥 Preventing bad breath (halitosis). If a whiff of your dog's breath makes your nose hairs curl, it's time for some good dental care. When your dog has a healthy mouth and healthy dog teeth, bad breath won't be a problem.

🦷 Preventing oral pain. Dental disease, especially when it's severe, can be quite painful for dogs. Keeping your dog's teeth and gums healthy will help prevent oral pain.

🪥 Preventing organ damage. Bacteria in the plaque can enter the bloodstream and spread to the heart, kidneys and liver. This spread of bacteria, called bacteremia, can damage organs and make dogs quite sick. Good oral health will help prevent bacteremia and subsequent organ damage.

🦷 Preventing worsening dental disease. Because so many dogs have dental disease by the time they're 3 years old, it can be difficult to prevent it from developing in the first place. However, good dog dental care can prevent dental disease from becoming severe and causing problems throughout the body.

How can we prevent dental disease?

🪥 Daily teeth brushing. (I do brush your pups teeth at every visit!)

🦷 Utilize water additives

AHHHH! What have I been up to?! I swore I wasn't going to buy any more pet stuff and I kept closing my eyes, looking the other way - trying to ignore how awesome my friend's dog's coat looked, but the curiosity finally got me and I caved!
