Tux was surrendered to us on New Year's Day 2025 by a family that had too many cats and couldn't afford them.

He can initially be a bit shy, but give him a little time and patience and he’ll become sweet and talkative. 🥰🗣️

Here’s an update from Tux himself: “I'm now at Happy Cat Cafe, where I'm getting used to my new digs. You can come and meet me, but may need to give me a little time to warm up. Also, Churu cat treats are helpful in becoming my friend!” 😸

Tux is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and been given flea/tick treatment.

Our sweet Tamsin is adopted!

Alfredo met her and felt a connection immediately. While waiting for his approval, he would stop in and visit her frequently! Tonight he finally got to take her home!

Congrats to Alfredo and his family!

Goldie is almost 3 years old. His human mom was described by her family as the "crazy cat lady" who loved helping cats. She took Goldie in as a stray.

Sadly, his rescuer became unable to care for herself any longer, and needed to go into a nursing home. Her family promised to find Goldie a soft place to land.

We are that soft place! ☁️

Goldie is currently residing at Happy Cat Cafe, where he's been initially a little shy. The poor guy has been through some big life changes lately.

We are confident once he settles in he will be a sweet, gentle guy. 🥰

Meet Pancake! 🥞

Pancake is a shy, independent soul who’s gradually discovering that humans can be friendly! She’s on a journey of socialization, and truly thrives with patience and gentle encouragement.

Pancake has made some amazing progress in her foster home! From bravely jumping onto the bed for the first time, to snuggling up beside her foster mom while she sleeps, each little victory is a reason to celebrate. She’s a quirky girl who brings endless entertainment as she plays and runs around with her feline friends!

Her backstory is quite the adventure. Pancake, along with her 3 siblings, was found under a porch when they were just 5 weeks old. After some time in a caring home, they were brought to us for help with getting used to humans.

While her siblings found homes quickly, Pancake is still waiting for her forever family. 🥺

Pancake needs a quiet household where she can feel safe and loved. She thrives in the company of other cats, so a home with feline friends is a must! She’s not yet accustomed to dogs, and may find them too overwhelming.

✨Location: Happy Cat Cafe
✨Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age-approriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption. So Pancake is all set to pack her little bags! 🧳

This lovely lady’s estimated date of birth is 9/9/24.

Handsome Bulgogi is a bit on the shy side, like his sister Kimchi, but he can also be brave!

He’s slowly but surely warming up to humans. However, he could use some one-on-one time (Or one-on-two. We always recommend adopting two kittens together!) His adopter should be a committed and patient individual that allows him to blossom at his own pace.

If you’d like to meet Bulgogi, he and his sister, Kimchi are in a foster home getting more used to indoor life!

We often try our shyer kitties out in the Happy Cat Cafe, as so many have blossomed and found their forevers. That’s what happened for sweet and handsome Sebastian. 🥰 Happy tails, darling boy! 🎉

Big news! Our sweet, shy Sebastian has found his forever home! 🎉🐾 Though he gave us a bit of a workout getting into his crate (classic Sebastian), we know he’s on his way to a life where he can truly thrive. Wishing him all the love and cozy spaces he deserves. ❤️

Tamsin is a friendly young kitty. We think she’s under a year old. She’s a petite little cutie!

Tamsin is cautious in new situations, but quickly warms up! 🥰 She was brought to us as a stray right around the onset of winter. Her caretaker didn't want her having to try and survive outside in the bitter cold. 🥶

She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, been given flea/tick treatment, and is FIV/FeLV negative.

Tamsin just joined the cattery at Chow Hound Pet Supplies (734 28th St SE), so you can stop by and meet her anytime they are open! 🤝🐾

Forever Home Files: Crumpet 🗂️

Adorable tabby cat Crumpet was renamed Roman. A distinguished name for a handsome and sweet boy!

His adopter says he loves to “snuggle and play and jump!”

In fact, according to his adopter, Roman loves jumping a lot: “on the table, the counter, plates of food, my face in the middle of the night...🤣”

Sounds like an active and mischievous little guy! 😸 We’re so happy Roman has found his home and his people.

Happy 5th Birthday, Fig! 🥳

Tomorrow is the birthday of our adorable namesake, Fig (aka “Figgie”), who is the official mascot of Fig and Friends! 🐶

A short story about Fig: She had been found discarded on the side of the road as a puppy. At that time, she couldn’t walk. It was early in the pandemic; a difficult time to take on a complex medical situation.

But our director, Julie, took Fig’s needs head on. With no guarantees of a positive outcome, she got Fig the surgery and other treatments she needed.

And now sweet Figgie walks! She plays, and she snuggles. She has made it through 5 glorious years of beloved adopted pet life! 🎉

In celebration, we’re having Figgie’s $5 Frenzy!! A dollar for each year of her medical miracle life…so we can save more medical miracle dogs and cats, and get them the homes of their dreams. 🏡
